    HAM radio/amateur radio FAQ

Looks like some of the links may have been broken, I try to keep my eye on them from time to time. They should be fixed now. Particularly the real important ones like practice exams and where to take the test. Practice exams now require you to have a QRZ account, but the site is open to...

2006 BMW F650GS Dakar (dual spark)

I miss it already and it's not even gone yet! It's a very nice bike. My girlfriend is 5'11". It's a tall bike but there are modifications out there to make them shorter if inseam reach is an issue.

    Our "new" Tiger...

Hopefully we can start posting some of the things we're doing to it and where we'll be going soon. I know my better half is hard at work putting some of that together. We've had some hiccups but once we get all that figured out we'll probably be posting more. We did get it lifted slightly, so...

Help me buy a tactical shotgun!

My vote goes with the 870, but I'd recommend the police version over the express. I've never been a fan of cost saving measures put into the express versions. They work just fine, but I just prefer to pay a bit extra to get the non MIM parts, metal trigger guard, and the extra work/inspection...

    Our "new" Tiger...

It's funny because it's actually not much longer than our FJ but it feels huge because of the height. Takes some getting use to and you can't be in a hurry. =)

    OBD Scanner for Trail Kit

I've owned several of the scan gauges. It does a lot more than just scan. You can also look at several sensor items like intake temp, water temp, voltage, and more. It also works as a very nice trip computer. I'd definitely highly recommend them as a part of any expo kit...

    HAM radio/amateur radio FAQ

I've updated many of the dead links, like the podcast, and made a new antenna recommendation. Looks like comet is making some spring based antennas now specifically for mobile applications. I have no idea what took them so long to do this but it seems idea for expedition or offroad type...
