If you are worried about the handles being strong enough, look up the edgestar fridge mods thread. Someone made a steel bracket and mounted it behind the handles. So it used the same screws as the handle to attach it. Looked like a strong cheap way to approach it
Ive got a power pot V setup that someone gave me for christmas. I tried it out once just to test it and its a cool idea for sure. Im a ultralight backpacker and this just doesn't really fit into my gear style. I dont have the original box but I have everything else with it. Im asking $120 for...
I also tend to raid the beers in my car fridge when the house fridge goes empty haha.
My fridge runs 24/7 but I have a 30w solar and turn temp up to 50 when Im not driving, then back down to 38 before I go somewhere. Since i dont drive to work batteries tend to drop below 12v after a day or 2...
post anything with the word crashing after and google will have a million topic on it.
Ipad still more reliable than android, thats just a result of the open and free operating system world. what makes it awesome makes it worse at the same time.
Apple revolutionized the phone tablet world no...
yea if you are not rushed you can find a deals. I paid like $200 for my ft7900 shipped and it looked brand new. paid like $220 for my vx7 so just keep your eyes open and you can save yourself lots of money.

Well the knob adjust but its pretty hard to control it. Jetboil doesn't really simmer. Just get the water boiling and pour in your noodles. Turn down the flame the best you can and keep an eye on it.
The best part about the stove boiling fast is also the curse by always having it boil too easy.
yea most people just kinda stick with the brand of their first radio. Ive always been a yaesu guy just happened out that way. Both are great brands.
I love my 7900, nice simple interface.
I have used my handles from time to time and they seem solid enough.
As for the 12v not staying on when the car is off. Easiest thing is to find the relay for the 12v socket and bypass it. Make a short wire connect it all the time.
Im a generator nazi. If its not a super quite gen ( louder then 60db) they drive me insane. I like to hear nature not cover it up with generator noise. Seriously a few solar panels can fix 90% of people needs. I can stay parked for days without starting the car. Once I get a 45w panel I should...
For $750 ditch the nock off fridges and just buy a ARB. I love my edge-star but i only paid $380 shipped. The arb is better quality hands down, so if you start thinking about spending over $600 look into the ARB. My buddy has the 43qt arb refurbished or open box from amazon for $650. So keep...
So everything except the electric grill lol, you will be fine with just the stock alternator and what ever battery you pick as long as you drive at leased once every other day. I would probably go with sears battery( largest one that will fit) as they seem to have longer Amp Hours.
just plan on...
I would say go 2m/440. Everything is mostly on 2m but its nice to have a little extra if you can afford it. Some people will be hating but if you modify it, you will gain access to the family radio channels which I like so if im with a non HAM group I can use my real radio and still talk to...
Well 4g is a new spectrum all together for all carriers, its nor cdma(verizon) or hspa( att). Wilson does have 4g booster out but nether of my boosters handle 4g. I love in the forest so no 4g is available anyways. Maybe someday ill run into someone with a smoothtalker and give it a try.
That seems pretty expensive. I have wilson the 3watt model ( $160) and its amazing. I have been in many places where it goes from either no service or it shows the att icon but no bars and then shows 5 bars and I can talk or surf.
For over $300 you can get wilsons house booster which I have as...
Its a pretty simple device, for that price I just go for it and try it out. If it fails either return it or just eat the $10 loss.id imagine it works fine
sorry no real experience with them
I was just reading about it. I really like the idea considering that price range it seems very capable and I like the android openness. The non color screen has me a little worried but who knows it may be sufficient.
seems like people need to be storing there Fiskars axes inside and out of the cold i guess. Also I feel bad for the guy using a shovel when its cold enough to freeze the handle, not to mention the ground must be frozen.
