What you would expect to see? Few people who own a small business flaunt their wealth when times are good. I didn't mean to imply they were stealing, but they had to be doing well during covid unless they made some very bad decisions... which I doubt given their experience. Everybody building...
(y) Singing my song! The idea that the tall roof means it will tip over, is an illusion. This is true of any camper that you build out as well. Just avoid putting heavy stuff up high.
Much better, yes... but too tall for a Tacoma.
Fits really well on the old Tundra though. Don't know why they don't all sell spacers for the trucks that need more height.

The stock Tundra screw bottle jack has loads of travel and is light. I've lifted the whole front end with one. It might be a good idea to have two, but that should keep we well covered.
(y) Those are cool... but I don't understand why none of these manufacturers make the part over the cab longer. The amount of weight necessary to make that strong enough is a pittance in the grand scheme of things.
I do very very much appreciate sanity in the US when it comes to vehicle mods. It's one of the last enclaves for it...
But I'm sure it will end before long, with many on this forum supporting its demise...
The "changing market dynamics" are that we are coming off the best time in history to be a luxury offroad RV builder... so I don't see how this could be because of financial issues. Rather it's a great exit point for taking the $$$ and running.
When I was in college we did everything in SI units... because the word at the time was that the US would soon switch everything over. Never happened.
I think the main driver was the oligarchs wanting to ramp up outsourcing, and this would make it easier. I remember my Dad owning John Deere...
And if a frog had wings, it wouldn't bump its ass a hoppin'....
EV batteries have come a long way, but they need to improve a lot more before they are viable for a general purpose vehicle, that you want to both commute and tow long distances.
The only reason we have EV pickups at all is...
Where I live (7k ft, S NM) I think a black panel will go up to 200F, in calm sunny conditions and ~80F air temp. That was facing the sun mid-day. It's sunny today, maybe I'll check again.
Some surfboard builders will perforate the skin with a roller that has a bunch of tiny needles, to let air...
(y) Good stuff!
You wouldn't happen to know of a decent clear coat I can use... that can be rolled or brushed on, cures quick, and doesn't stink too bad? This will be interior and rarely exposed to sun.
EU emissions are much higher.
"...the average (model year 2010 onward) car on the road in the EU emits around 6 to 10 times the amount of NOx emitted by an average car in the U.S., while the EU standards permit emissions only about 1 to 4 times higher than the U.S. standards.
But it's not a...
I think they didn't use any physics...
The T100 and the older pickups used a fully boxed frame which is torsionally stiff. You can hard mount campers to that with no worries. The Tacoma and Tundra have had C-channel in the back until recently. Those frames twist a lot, and so if your...
