The factory traction control on the 03 is incredible. I'd do the winch. Recovery gear is top priority in my opinion. Lockers will just get you into worse situations requiring more recovery gear.

Do you know who makes the starter? I need to replace mine. Where do you find the OEM exchange numbers? I've found the dealer wholesale to be comparable prices to many auto parts stores. Always open to other suggestions.

I've never heard of this failing. You'd probably be fine buying a used part. Try searching US wrecking yards: car-part.com
Also, you could easily remove the lower intake and remote the shaft and butterfly valves then have the holes MIG welded. The truck will drive fine without those valves.

Extremely surprising how capable this truck is. Especially with the near flat underside with IFS/IRS there is so much clearance.
It's much more than a "cosmetic accessory"... Works amazingly well deflecting the wind and keeping the rear window clean. Especially nice on extending driving on dusty roads. Love mine.
