2018 Jeep Wrangler spotted on the side of the road

How can you confirm that it is misinformation?

2018 Jeep Wrangler spotted on the side of the road

I also think the Jeep is further behind than they want us to believe. Jeep would have sent mules out to prominent aftermarket companies for design/fitment of accessories ahead of launch. Something surely would have leaked. It's still being finalized.

Questions about Rooftop tent on Xterra

I drilled holes through my side bars and bolted through, although the muffler clap method mentioned earlier would be easier. Regarding the tray under the tent - dude, you posted on a public forum - I reserve the right to comment on it especially when it makes no sense and your statement "the...

Questions about Rooftop tent on Xterra

Why would you have a roof tray under a roof tent? Also, mounting directly to the side tubes is clearly "the lowest" solution.

    Fear of the highlift?

Well, no. Having the handle in the upright position prevents it from auto ratcheting. The clip can help hold the handle upright.

Questions about Rooftop tent on Xterra

I think they are all the same or nearly the same (except for maybe the really big ones). Mine is an ARB. It has 4 holes drilled through the bottom plate in a perfect square pattern, with two aluminum channel rails that bolt on. You can orient the channels either way. "Width wise" across the...

Questions about Rooftop tent on Xterra

Pro tip - rather than attach the tent to cross bars, and then to the factory tubes... just remove and re-orient the two mounting channels built in to the RTT and bolt it direct through the tubes. Keeps the tent an inch lower (its already crazy high on a factory Xterra rack).

Chassis ground vs dedicated run? What tests can be done?

I have my 2000/4000W inverter grounded through a seat mounting bolt (with 2/0 cable) and it is more than enough.

G550 4x4^2 arrived at the dealer recently

Very surprised to see this many of them out there. Give it 10 years, they will probably be viewed as the most undesirable of all G's and hopefully available for $30k.

    Fear of the highlift?

Yep, this guy is a loser troll just like I thought.

    Fear of the highlift?

Only if it's unloaded (less than 150 pounds). In the down position, with a load, if you whack it it will start ratcheting down the post one step at a time - flailing the handle back and forth with amazing speed and force. I know at least two people who have been injured by this when it...

Can I use an HD drawer slide on it's side?

What you are talking about is called undermount slides. Some slides can be mounted either way, but are always rated far far less in under mount configuration. I would call KV and ask.

Chassis ground vs dedicated run? What tests can be done?

Why are you running 2/0 cable for that small of an amperage load? In any case, local chassis ground is fine so long as you also have a suitable ground cable from your battery to the frame.

    Fear of the highlift?

You are correct - you're free to make yourself look foolish and uneducated on your own terms. I'm free to call you out on it. Always put the handle in the upright position when not lifting or lowering a load! This is a very real safety issue.

    Fear of the highlift?

You boast about using it and "surviving", yet the photo you post shows you using it in as dangerous of a way as possible.

Put the ************** handle in the upright position please.

Installing Xterra full OME kit, tips/tricks?

You need a strut compressor to disassemble the factory struts, and assemble the OME's with the top plates. If you do not have a good strut compressor and are comfortable using it (can be very dangerous if misused), I would farm this work out to a local shop. Although it would require a second...

Post pictures of your Land Rover.

This was the shirt from our group Moab trip in 2010 :) And it was a one off run made by a friend, no idea who has the artwork or if there are any shirts still around. And Hi Mike and Myles!
