    Air Bag Warning Indicator

Sounds like you did the hard reset correctly. At this point it's time to pull the codes. You will probably see an open circuit or short circuit fault in one of the bag/pretensioner circuits.

We need a rooftop tent forum category.

I would like this as well. Compare notes about brands/mods/tweaks. I know I am not getting the most out of my ARB and its difficult to find info scattered amongst the forum even using the search.

    2000 Nissan Xterra Spring Over

Really nice truck. What size tire is that - 285? One day I will set up a similar suspension under my 2nd gen Xterra.

    97 disco 4.0 tick / soft knock

Slightly increased idle leads me to believe general wear is causing idle oil pressure to be low... possibly leading to lifter noise. That's where I'd start (checking oil pressure)

Don't flame... BUT is the Wrangler the new Defender for the U.S. ???

The other part of the equation that we are missing is that there is likely to be more than one "Defender" model. It is possible that they would come out with something cheap... but you probably wouldnt like it. "Defender Sport". Think Freelander SE3 redux meets Suzuki Sidekick meets leather...

Don't flame... BUT is the Wrangler the new Defender for the U.S. ???

All I'm saying is that the Wrangler has capitalized the under $50k market, and there's the G-wag which is popular despite it's Defender-like tendencies at $120k, so that leaves a pretty natural slot for the Defender in the middle right? Put yourself in LR's shoes... it makes sense...

Don't flame... BUT is the Wrangler the new Defender for the U.S. ???

The next gen LR4 is going further upmarket to battle the Mercedes GL. Jeep has yet to find the price ceiling on the Wrangler. You can get one close to $50k and even way beyond if you order an AEV model through a dealer. It only makes sense that LR will be in the next tier which would mean...

Don't flame... BUT is the Wrangler the new Defender for the U.S. ???

Because that is less than 1% of the buying population's idea of a great Defender. Most would say, I want 4 zone climate control, leather seats, enough legroom to stretch out, room for 3 car seats in back, easy to get in and out of, has to do 95mph on the highway on rails to keep up with...

DEFENDER 130 I might be selling soon

I worked for a dealership in Colorado that took in a 1995 D90 SW on trade towards a Range Rover Sport. It was billed as a 17k original mile truck... the dealer was so fixated on stealing it for the "low" price of ~$50k that they forgot to check the carfax report. Odometer replaced at 70K...

DEFENDER 130 I might be selling soon

Based my estimate on RHD V8 127's in rougher shape coming in the low/mid 20's... but you're right without knowing more details about this one it could possibly touch 50.

Don't flame... BUT is the Wrangler the new Defender for the U.S. ???

Theoretical question here... If there was a 2018 Defender, 4 door SW, full frame but IFS/IRS (think current gen LR4), 33's on 18" wheels standard (room for 35's with a reprogram lift), front and rear lockers, Supercharged V6 engine at 350hp, and a factory winch bumper available... price point...

Don't flame... BUT is the Wrangler the new Defender for the U.S. ???

I have faith in Land Rover to produce a worthy Defender however it will be thoroughly grounded in modern/advanced technology. They are capable of building a vehicle that is true to heritage. The Jaguar F-Type is your example. What the F-Type is to Jaguar, the Defender will be to Land Rover...

    Battery, or something worse

The 14V thing is not accurate. What he means is that the vehicle demands 14V while it's running in order for all systems to operate correctly without storing faults. Overcharging the battery will not clear faults. Disconnect the positive battery terminal, and bridge a jumper wire between the...

DEFENDER 130 I might be selling soon

This particular one could demand ~$35-40k depending on condition. Based on location it is not likely to be very rusty.

    Battery, or something worse

The faults you are seeing are consistent with low voltage faults. These vehicles are very sensitive to low voltage conditions. Not really recommended to let it sit with the key on and accessories running for very long (despite the huge size of the battery). Start with replacing the batt...
