I was not a fan of 3-plus hour trips in my JKUR. It was my first Jeep, coming from a F350. I will own another Jeep in the future, but long trips will be in the truck. It might be good to rent one for a weekend and go on a multi-hour trip to see what you think.

I do like mine. No winch yet, but I'm working on it.

What bumper/tire carrier is this? Simple and functional. Any issues with durability?

Install was straightforward. I had the most trouble removing the stock bumper. The only modification needed to install the ARB Stubby bumper is to flatten out the piece of the frame end that flares up. Make sure you have a sledge hammer. I have not installed a winch yet.

I have one. Only mod to the Jeep so far.

Looks like a cool trip. Will have to add it to the to-do list on our Christmas driving trip.
