    Anyone using a VW Touareg

The tire carrier is available and was as an option at the time of purchase. I found a few on VWVortex. the carrier is about 1800 but then you also need a new rear bumper fascia, metal rear bumper replacement and possibly a different rear hatch. As soon as i can mine up on our lift i am going...

I was using a 1000 watt inverter i bought at a truckstop that was wired directly to my Optima Yellow top the entire 4 days at overland expo to charge my Macbook with no problems. 3-link (three link) w/air bag suspension questions

I wasnt casting doubt, i was simply asking a question. I have been building custom vehicles for 26 years and i have yet to see/find/work with an airspring/airbag that doesnt bleed down over time. I was and am curious as to why an airbag over a traditional spring, torsion or even a coilover for...

    Removing factory stripes?

You'll always be able to see the difference especially in an older rig like yours. Black is especially bad. my suggestion is to remove the stripes, detail and then use an upper and lower pinstripe in a subtle color(a matching gray to your rack) to give the effect of a "purposely done" dark...

    Anyone using a VW Touareg

I bought a V8 with the air ride suspension for my wife and she loves it. we live in a rural area with lots of dirt roads and it rides and handles great. I just installed twin K&N filters and a brace of Magnaflows in the back to get rid of the suitcase muffler that was back there. what a huge...

3-link (three link) w/air bag suspension questions

may i ask why you arent using leaf springs? air bags bleed down and could cause a wandering trailer issue. how are you going to inflate and continue to keep inflated? if doing a link style setup i would go with a "y" setup but your still going to need a trackbar to keep it from wandering...

    2011 Wrangler rollout this summer

the thing that would concern me most is whenever vehicle manufacturers start to "civilize" a vehicle they lose sight of things like stronger axles and steering components. adding nice touches in the interior is one thing but if the new owners dont understand the brand and what the people who...

Rough road toy hauler build, My rally support trailer.

i like the headlight mount (baja designs?) looks sweet. My other company builds image vehicles for SEMA and we built the first BMW GSA1200 for that show. We had a blast. I have a good friend who handles all the swag for Aprillia and Ducati. Love to meet you when you get some time. Andy
