Roof Top Tents - 4 Season Use?

My experience with my Autohome RTT (Columbus model) in the winter has been good. I've been fine in wind, sleet, and snow. The fuzzy interior roof minimized condensation dripping. I haven't found the winter hood to be all that great. It doesn't seem to add much warmth, and it doesn't seem...

    Camera shopping

Micro 4/3 might be an option. Smaller and lighter than a big DSLR. Olympus OMD EM-5 is what I'm using now. I'm pretty happy with it.

    f/8 and be there

Wouldn't a 35mm lens at f:8 have the same range of focus no matter what size sensor it's used on? i thought that focus depth is determined by the combination of length of lens and aperture. Why would it be dependent on what sensor the light ultimately lands on? Why wouldn't a 35mm lens at...

    Camera Bags

I've owned more than a dozen camera bags over the years. I currently shoot with a micro 4/3 system, so I tend to go for smaller bags now than I used to. Here's what I use currently: Mountainsmith small zoom bag: Holds camera body, and 3 small prime lenses. Perfect for backpacking...

A Critique of Comtemporary Camera Design

As far as image quality goes, today's micro 4/3 sensors are better than yesterday's APS-C sensors. As technology advances, the physical size of the sensor will become less and less relevant.

    Photo quality from waterproof cameras?

The Panasonic has pretty good image quality. I own the previous generation (I think it's called the TS2) and have been very impressed with it. I also own a Canon S100. The image quality between the two is comparable if you're looking at JPEGS. The big advantage of the Canon S100 is that...
