Winter Camping thread, share stories, advice...

If you are carrying all of your gear on your back, you should do what you can to minimize weight. A sleeping bag that will keep you warm at 10 degrees in your underwear will keep you warm down to approximately 5 below zero temperatures if you're wearing insulated clothing. This means that if...

Anybody seen seat covers with pockets?

My 80 Series Cruiser and My Disco I both have cotton canvas seat covers from Escape Gear. Big pockets on the back, small ones on the side. I got mine from Equipt 1 http://www.equipt1.com/companies/escape-gear/

Winter Camping thread, share stories, advice...

If you aren't wearing all of your clothing inside of your sleeping bag, you're carrying too heavy of a sleeping bag. (That is, if you're actually carrying it. If you're car camping, then the extra weight doesn't matter.)

    High quality folding bolt cutters?

I found these on Amazon. Haven't used them yet, but they feel well made, and they fit nicely in my trail bag when folded. http://www.amazon.com/ToughBuilt-TB-BC-01003A-24-Inches-Compact-Cutter/dp/B0058T8RY4/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1349049472&sr=8-3&keywords=toughbuilt+folding+bolt+cutters

    RTT Comparison Thread?

I have had an Autohome Columbus (carbon fiber) and really like it. It stays on my Land Cruiser full time. Comfortable, sets up instantly, weatherproof, light weight, roomy. Can't really wish for a better tent. Only down side is price.

Feeler: 1997 mild built LC values?

That is a SWEET truck. $17,000 was a very reasonable price for that vehicle. People say that you don't get any value for modifications. However, if they are the right mods, they definitely add value. These were the right mods.

    Need a new pocket camera

Sony HX-20V is not really comparable to the LX-5. LX-5 is a more "serious" camera with higher image quality, better glass, etc. The HX-20V is a consumer-targeted "travel zoom." Not a bad camera, but not comparable to the LX-5.

Feeler: 1997 mild built LC values?

Depends on condition, miles, and whether or not it has lockers, etc. Good condition, under 150k miles, lockers, mildly built = $12k-15k.

CAMPTEQ's 80 Series Land Cruiser pop top Prototype

This thing is awesome. I'm seriously thinking of replacing my Autohome RTT with one of these. The option of accessing the tent from the interior is very appealing. Will you offer installation? If I drove my 80 to Colorado, could I drive it back to Utah with the pop-top fully installed...
