Will Jeep and Ram Truck Prices Take a Steep Dive Soon?

The 1st time you feel -50 Celsius (-58 Fahrenheit ) you'll be running for the exit. I know every winter I question why I still live here.... Plus, riding & camping season is only 6 months... My bike and travel trailer are already put away for the winter...

Will Jeep and Ram Truck Prices Take a Steep Dive Soon?

It's possible it's different. I know for 2024 and up, in Canada you can get an F150 SuperCrew 6.5" box with the black appearance pkg which swaps out chrome for body color bumpers & door handles plus gets you the console shift. Kind of like the old 'Sport' package. That's not an option in the...

Will Jeep and Ram Truck Prices Take a Steep Dive Soon?

Out of curiosity, what is your payload on a Tradesman with the Power Wagon package? What are you towing for a trailer, an RV?

Will Jeep and Ram Truck Prices Take a Steep Dive Soon?

They did in Canada for 2024. Not sure if they will for 2025. But, unless you just want the extra payload, price wise here, a Tradesman with the Power Wagon package is pretty close to a regular Power Wagon anyway. And, the regular Power Wagon will probably retain it's resale better.

Offroad capability of full size truck

Well I was more thinking in terms of perspective. As in a 75 year old guy would say being only 41 is still young. You took it down a weird Michael Jackson path... 😬

New Scout Electric SUV from VW

Scout's are much bigger than their Rivian counter parts. Scout truck is a foot longer than the Rivian. https://www.autoblog.com/news/rivian-vs-scout-range-performance-tech-dimensions-and-more

New Scout Electric SUV from VW

Looks like they might be planning a 2 door Bronco / Wrangler competitor. That could be interseting! https://www.autospies.com/news/index.aspx?submissionid=123289

    What Half-Ton Truck & Why

I found the same coming from a 5.0. Out of curiosity do the 2018 - 2019's have Sport mode? I usually drive in Eco but, when I switch into Sport, you can def tell a difference. @ITTOG If your truck has this feature, have you tried driving in this mode?

    Everything Ram Rebel

It does look like a nicely equipped truck. That being said, with the Rebels off road biased suspension and that amount of options added on, I would check the payload rating for that truck to ensure it will meet your needs. Do you plan on hauling or towing with this truck?

    What Half-Ton Truck & Why

Exaclty. The low end torque is what prompted my move from a 5.0L to a 3.5. Funny enough after 50,000 miles the 10 speed in my 2022 has been fine. I believe this transmission is used in a few vehicles including the Super Duty. My 6 spd in my 2015 gave me grief. Same issue that was recall in...

    What Half-Ton Truck & Why

Ford now offers a factory tune for the 3.5. Personally I'll pass. I'm leaving my drivetrain stock. Plenty of power for me. If I make my truck any worse on gas, I might as well just get a 1 ton Godzilla, lol... My 35's already brought me down to an average of 18 mpg...

    What Half-Ton Truck & Why

At that point I'd probably just get a 3/4 ton.

    What Half-Ton Truck & Why

I do find the turbos spool up as well. But, not terribly often. With my previous 5.0 it would sit at 4,500 RPM forever at the slightest incline of a flat road. Maybe the 10 spd would be better? Even after the road leveled off, it would take forever and ever to downshift. Overall, I would say...

    What Half-Ton Truck & Why

Agreed. My previous truck was a 2015 F150 w/ 5.0L - 6 Spd & 3:73's. My 2022 has the EcoBoost & 3:55's. No comparison when it comes to towing. EcoBoost hands down. I don't think I'd ever go back to an N/A V8 for towing.
