I’m on 285/75R18 with a 2” lift up front. They fit great. I get a bit of rub when off camber, but I didn’t trim or do a CMC. I did remove those little flaps in front of the front wheels.

Yeah, I guess they are a bit lighter comparatively. I can get 16mpg combined on 285/75R18s in my 5.7L Tundra. That's hand calculated and accounting for the 8.4% larger tire diameter.

Save your pennies and seek out a manual Tacoma. The general consensus is that it doesn’t suffer from the same gutless feeling as the auto trucks. Or, the very first year 5th gen 4Runner had a manual option if I remember correctly. 2010. I think it came with a 4cyl. Kind of a bummer! Pretty rare.

Agree with a lot of this. Frustrating that the fuel tank is so small, but if it had a 38 gallon fuel tank instead of 24, they’d have to subtract another ~100 lbs (fuel at 6lb/gal plus larger tank weight) right off that 1400 lb of payload number.
