    04 Tundra Headlight Replacement

I have hit a wall. After countless post wash polish jobs, 3+ headlight restoration kits (including the Sylvania lifetime), it’s time for new headlights. Any experience with aftermarket? Oem will break the bank but I remember a post where a member replaced with cheap aftermarket and was not...

I paid to have new ones pressed in. No way I was tackling that myself.

2005 Tundra novice build - "The Rez"

I thought my lca busing were fine, had them replaced with oem and the difference was immediately noticeable (130k). Truck drove much tighter, steering more responsive, less body roll when changing lanes (guess the arms flexed a bit before responding to steering inputs). Crossing my fingers for...

    Zam15’s Tacoma Build

Mine was there last week, didn’t see yours! Got the sliders and rear bumper mounted up. Long way to catch up to you though!

Icon stage one or stage two?

“I should have gone with the 2.0 vs the 2.5 shock body” said nobody ever. Running the icon 2.5 piggy’s in the rear, 2.5 cos front with UCA on 1st gen Tundra. Would never downgrade. Resis I’m not convinced on (but when I upgrade I will probably get for the adjustability). Not saying to LT (I...

Upgrading from a 3.91 makes it compelling. Wouldn’t waste time with a 4.10

Selectable lockers for front diff 2002 Taco, what's available?

Does the arb in the front really make it stronger? Debating front winch vs front arb. Regearing...do it to have it, only use as last resort. You’ll be stoked in the long run once the install sting fades.

I hear you on the gears. I want a rear locker and 4.56s for my 33s but hard bullet to bite vs Locker only. Performance is okay. Not great....

Live with it. Not worth doing spacers in my opinion unless you want to push the tires out for looks.

    The evolving build

Not sure if this is advised but I have had success adjusting by jacking up the tire and getting in there with some elbow grease and a spanner wrench. Just a thought...

    2uz-fe valve train noise

Actually I didn’t miss that, your first post mentions nothing about an open hood and standing outside, only drive throughs and more noise. Did you check your steering shaft boot yet? You might be surprised. These engines have a lot of valve noise (I should know, bought new in 04 and have 140k...

    2uz-fe valve train noise

You also need to crawl under with a flashlight and look up at the steering joint firewall interface. Thought I had a leaky manifold, the $15 rubber boot was toast. Of course I had to get headers installed before I figured that out...

OME (Old Man Edition) '03 Tundra build

Did the v6 Tundra’s come with 4.30s? 2nd dibs that would be a nice swap. V8 Tundra tank is 26 gal, not sure if the v6 is smaller. I would expect 9-10 towing, 14 average is what I get with 285s and stock 3.91 gears
