    Insulating a topper

I think the stuff I used was perfect size to fit between the framework of my steel contractor topper. I think I pressed it into place friction fit no adhesive, which mostly worked.

120 Volt Outlets Confirmed! And 2.0 Kw

Hybrid vehicles often have higher voltage than that. Not sure how well they stand up to water crossing.

    Insulating a topper

I used the 1” thick white styrofoam that came precut for garage doors I think. Don’t remember how I attached it. Do you have a smooth fiberglass or metal with frame topper.

    2024 F150

My Ranger was a tight fit in the 20x20 two stall garage in the city. Moved to the burbs and my ext cab 8’ bed chev fits in my 25x25 two stall. Gotta watch those big tow mirrors around the garage door opening.

3rd Gen Tacoma for towing - manual vs. automatic?

I think going from a 3.5 eco boost to a 3.5 Toyota minivan engine(high revving)would be a massive disappointment for towing at altitude. I can tell my 6.0 Chevy has less towing power at altitude. I don’t think I ever noticed a loss of power with my Ranger.

The 2.7 with payload package had the big axle. I thought all 3.5’s had it.

After 8 years in a full size, moving back to a mid-size - Recommendations?

I had a 2019 Ranger. Premium was only required while towing. I got about 14mpg towing my 3500# 16’ Scamp trailer. About 20mpg not towing. That was on 32” aggressive AT tires. The 18gallon fuel tank had me stopping every 200 miles for (premium)gas while towing, I didn’t like that. Truck always...

Even swapping from a small block to a Cummins doesn’t add a thousand pounds does it? What kind of swap is this?

    2024 ZR2 HD. Pricing announced

I’ve done factory work. The fact that it’s mindless makes it even worse. It’s been 20 years and I think I could still put an engine in a bus while asleep. I might do it for 80k a year though.

    Stormtrooper Build Thread

Great looking setup. Whenever I think about a similar setup I can’t decide if I should do the short wheelbase for maneuverability or the super long wheelbase for the 50+ gallon fuel tank. Right now I’m in a double cab long box Chevy and the turning radius is comically bad.

Which beam pattern do you have on the KC lights? Is that light bar any good? How about the fog lights?

    budget performance cars

I was a bit confused by the list of cars and now I see that was from 2009, 14 years ago. So is it harder or easier to buy a fun performance car now for 10k? I bought a clean ‘01 Mustang for 7k about the time this thread started. Seems like a great deal now but I’m not sure 260hp qualifies as...
