Thoughts on this as a base for a build?

I'd be all over that for the right price.

    Shower Awnings

I should add that I take 3-4 plastic floor squares (sauna flooring) to use in the shower "room." They also work great outside a tent or trailer to knock the rough stuff off your shoes.

    Shower Awnings

I've tried several different things over the years (decades?!). Solar bag in a tree, Nemo with a foot pump, partner pouring hot water from the stove over my head.... My current solution is one of the tankless, on-demand water heaters on the side of the trailer but with a long enough hose that...

    Shower Awnings

Another low budget approach is to use a hula hoop (or length of PVC pipe) and a shower curtain. You can hang it from a tree or your roof rack.

    Shower Awnings

I'm cheap too. I don't like the cost, the weight or the wind drag. One other thing I don't like is having a mud pit right next to the vehicle. So do you stand in a kiddie pool and, if so, then what do you do? I have a cheap pop-up tent located away from the main area of camp.

    My OVRLND build

I wish I had the skills to do something like it.

"Battery Packs" are storage devices. "Battery Packs" aren't "Solar Generators". Refrigerators aren't "Food Generators".

If we're going to be that picky about terminology then you should understand the difference between the terms "promotion," "advertising," and "marketing."

    "Solar Generator"

Ollie, I appreciate your posts and your willingness to put up with the "experts" that rarely have anything positive to say. For every author or creator there are 1,000 critics, especially on the internet. We can all agree that the term "solar generator" is not strictly correct but I really...

Running solar charger cables through trailer walls to outside??

It will work just fine. I have that style on my trailer and the same solar panels.

Buying first trailer (Tiger Moth Overland) - what dont i know?

I'm another fan of putting the fridge in the tow vehicle for both weight distribution and accessibility issues. We like to set up a base camp with the trailer and then explore harder trails (or go fishing or hiking) during the day. Another thing that may not be obvious--even forest service...

Show us your Toyota 4runner, tacoma or truck.

I understand but since they attach to the body, not the frame, there is a good chance your truck will be damaged if they are. It's not a problem if you stay out of the rough stuff. How about some more info on the trailer?

Show us your Toyota 4runner, tacoma or truck.

I like it and LOVE that trailer. But, if you're going to play in the rocks it is a matter of time until those steps get ripped off or bent.

    Front License Plate mount

I use industrial strength Velcro. Pound it on with your fist and after a while you cannot remove the plate without bending it.

    Viair 88P on board air

This is mine mounted on the fender under the hood but before I wired it to a switch inside the cab. After wiring: Plumbed to the front bumper. That location is less precarious than it looks in this photo and is about 20 inches off the ground.

    Viair 88P on board air

Sounds like your past the idea phase and ready to execute. I've done the same thing with a much larger Viair.
