2023 New OEV High Country Hard Wall Camper Flatbed and Fixed

Looks very nice, although the rear side windows should be twice as big to not feel claustrophobic (similar to Nimbl)

2023 New OEV High Country Hard Wall Camper Flatbed and Fixed

2900+ dry weight without any bells or whistles, so a 350/3500 might not have enough payload after gear, water, people, etc. Might need a 450/4500?

2021 Overland Explorer Vehicles (OEV) CAMP-HBE pop-up flatbed pickup camper (renamed the "Hudson Bay" for 2023 model year)

Agreed, if HW HBE doesn’t materialize, might have to look to TC + BEAR.

2021 Overland Explorer Vehicles (OEV) CAMP-HBE pop-up flatbed pickup camper (renamed the "Hudson Bay" for 2023 model year)

Just for fun - a rough photochop of Victors rig, imagining what the hardwall HBE might look like:

2021 Overland Explorer Vehicles (OEV) CAMP-HBE pop-up flatbed pickup camper (renamed the "Hudson Bay" for 2023 model year)

I spent some time in the Aterra at an expo this summer. I really liked the space and layout, especially the 3 windows surrounding the dinette…but the upper bed was cramped and coffin like compared to OEV. The toilet was weirdly located under the dinette seat (it didn’t slide out). It was also...

2020 Overland Explorer Vehicles (OEV) CAMP-X pop-up slide-in pickup camper (renamed "Back Country" as of 2023)

Looks like OEV got some marketing help. The Camp-X was renamed to "Back Country", the FX to "Alpine", etc. Now they just need a website make-over by a professional design company ;)

2020 Overland Explorer Vehicles (OEV) CAMP-X pop-up slide-in pickup camper (renamed "Back Country" as of 2023)

I’ve had a Camp-X for 2 years, in lots of rain, and zero leaks from the windows.

    Bowen NotSoFlat Bed Revisited

Ahh - that would make more sense to bolt the anchors through the flatbed and even to the frame

    Bowen NotSoFlat Bed Revisited

Saw the Bowen flatbed at overland expo this weekend. The craftsmanship is amazing and the utility of having side boxes with a slide in, but at stock bed height is fantastic. My only reservation is the attachment points. Using four small L-track d-rings to secure a 1500-2200 lb truck camper...

2020 OEV “Base Camp HW” (SOLD)

How does this truck handle offroad? Is there much sway back and forth? Also, what's the total height with the 37" tires?

    Truck Camper that Sleeps 4?

OEV Camp-X or HBE with gurney bed option?

    Hallmark let me down

What truck camper manufacturers would now make the top of the list for reliability and customer support?

2020 Overland Explorer Vehicles (OEV) CAMP-X pop-up slide-in pickup camper (renamed "Back Country" as of 2023)

Still tinkering with the shower setup, but mounted the shower head to the big white hinge. Then poked it through the curtain. The button on the shower head turns the water on/off - so hands free like a regular shower!

2020 Overland Explorer Vehicles (OEV) CAMP-X pop-up slide-in pickup camper (renamed "Back Country" as of 2023)

I’m going to experiment with three different basins. One is a black plastic bus boy bin, another is a tall clear plastic bin, and the last is a doggy pool. I am thinking the doggy pool will work best because it packs down small and has a side drain. Ideally I can hook a hose to the side and...

2020 Overland Explorer Vehicles (OEV) CAMP-X pop-up slide-in pickup camper (renamed "Back Country" as of 2023)

Starting to piece together my inside shower setup for when we don’t feel like showering outside in the cold after a bike ride:

2021 Overland Explorer Vehicles (OEV) CAMP-HBE pop-up flatbed pickup camper (renamed the "Hudson Bay" for 2023 model year)

Interesting… I’m not sure how the dimensions of the Hawk flatbed compare, but I was thinking it would look something more like this :

Overland Explorer Vehicles (OEV) BASE-CAMP Pickup Camper - Soft-Wall and Hard-Wall Versions

Interesting - so the above version of the hard wall Base Camp (9?) for sale has a pass thru. But sounds like that option maybe only be available on the Summit going forward?

2021 Overland Explorer Vehicles (OEV) CAMP-HBE pop-up flatbed pickup camper (renamed the "Hudson Bay" for 2023 model year)

I’ve been researching this 1up vertical mount that some of the sprinter van crowd use. It looks like the attachment points are adjustable, but not sure if there is enough vertical space on the rear HBE molle rack to securely mount the rack and support the bike…but maybe…

2021 Overland Explorer Vehicles (OEV) CAMP-HBE pop-up flatbed pickup camper (renamed the "Hudson Bay" for 2023 model year)

If you were to get the HBE how would you carry mountain bikes? An extended hitch extension with bike rack to avoid the rear HBE kick out? Or mount vertical bike racks to the rear molle racks?

Overland Explorer Vehicles (OEV) BASE-CAMP Pickup Camper - Soft-Wall and Hard-Wall Versions

If OEV is making a hard walled Base Camp, then what will be the difference between that and the Summit?
