    Vanlife Cookware Opinions needed!!

Done! I'd say nesting is neat but only if it's the items you need. Non-stick so that cleaning is easy and doesn't require too much water. We're not fans of cast iron (rust, maintenance, weight and frankly we don't need it) Thanks! :)

    The long slow FG build!

I've used POR-15 a few times. Seems like they're close chemical cousins. But I will look up Chassis Saver next time. Thanks for the tip! ?

    The long slow FG build!

Very interesting videos! Thanks for sharing them! I might be picking up a GMC W4500 soon so all the de-rusting and chassis painting is super interesting for me. Since I live in Montreal, I'm also very familiar with rust! ?

Financing for a new van? Yikes

Because the condo association doesn't allow AirBnB. Also, I have no idea where you find those 20k deals!?! Anyways, the plan is to buy an old truck with a new camper. Like I said, it's not the ONLY solution... but it is a somewhat reasonnable solution in those conditions!

Financing for a new van? Yikes

I've had a similar "opportunity" presented to me in the past week. So I'll be the devil's advocate and say that it's not necessarily a bad idea. Credit is a tool (like @jreddy 's example). If used wisely, it allows you do things that you couldn't do without it. Like a chainsaw you can cut...

Having trouble finding information about Fuso vs Isuzu vs Hino in Canada.

Thanks for attempting to reply Mr. SkiFreak. ? My main concern was with the weight as I have no plans to extend the frame. Not trying to pick and choose out of context but here's the essentials of the mentionned post: "If you need that big a camper this truck is not the vehicle for you. [...]...

Having trouble finding information about Fuso vs Isuzu vs Hino in Canada.

Great news! I've got a lead on a 2005 GMC W5500 (Isuzu's were sold as GMCs in Canada at one point) with less than 100,000kms. Also, I put a deposit on a new Bigfoot model C9.6SB. ? But after reading this post, I'm curious why a truck with a payload of 12,000 lbs. would not be able to handle a...

    2013 Chevy Express 3500 10' Cutaway Build

I was wondering how the install went since I'm planning on doing the same thing in mine. The "sofa style" RV are now a little... mushy! ?

Having trouble finding information about Fuso vs Isuzu vs Hino in Canada.

Just a quick question to simplify this thread: 1- Are there Hinos in South America? 2- Are there Hinos in Europe? They're a dime a dozen here so it would make it pretty easy for me if I could just buy one of those!

What are you using for a coffee maker and coffee brand when camping/overlanding?

We use a french press that we bought on Amazon: link. It a stainless steel so it's unbreakable. It's insulated so it keeps our 4 mugs of coffee warm till the end of breakfast. We picked the wide bottom so it doesn't tip over during travel... Although the cylindrical version seems easier to save...

    Red Wing Heritage Boots

I bought Red Wing Iron Ranger 8111 in Amber about 3-4 years ago. My apologies to the Red Wing fan club but I'm honestly disappointed. Normally I like well crafted objects with noble materials. Which is absolutely true in this case. But so many issues with them: - I still feel like I'm breaking...

    Crocs?

I love wearing crocs on driving days. I drive barefoot (or in socks) so they're super easy to put on and take off. Sure, it's not the most dignified shoe for a gas station, but when you're halfway across the world, people don't judge you only on your shoes. I even preferred them to my...

Switching my life to "not Jeans". Can I get some recomendations for good NON JEANS

For what it's worth, I wear Lois "Jeans" which are 70% Cotton (Denim), 28% Polyester and 2% Spandex. The big thing is the Spandex part. It also has a stretchy waist band so it's super comfortable even while driving. They also have non-jeans colors like grey and beige. (Link: Brad-L collection)...

Having trouble finding information about Fuso vs Isuzu vs Hino in Canada.

Bonjour! I'm also from Montreal. Small world! ;) I don't thing Fuso would be hard to service in North America. There's tons of Mitsubishi dealerships, competent truck garages and Rockauto is a few clicks away. I would be worried about finding Hino parts in the rest of the world. Isuzu seems...

front wheel wobble, videos included, need halp

I agree with @Simons that the rotating movement of the tie-rod is normal. But they do look like they might need a little bit more grease as they should be a little bit harder to rotate (hard to tell on a video). Sorry this doesn't really help out with the actual issue.

Having trouble finding information about Fuso vs Isuzu vs Hino in Canada.

Found it: 4x4 Fuso in Edmonton. Thanks! But I'm not ready yet. Still in the research phase at this point. But this little photo is really interesting: I'll have to look out for these when going to see trucks.
