K5 Camper. My offroad home away from home.

So the winter snow pack was that bad this year huh? I think you guys told me, but that runoff goes into the Arkansas correct?

Do you regret buying a base model truck?

I'm pretty positive that the 8.2 is a requirement for some mods like the single zone auto climate control and I wouldn't doubt for the remote start, but with some poking around on other forums you could find out. Couple of other things I forgot to mention, you can directly swap out the...

Do you regret buying a base model truck?

With RAMs there are a fair amount of things you can add back in if you're willing to do a little work with AlfaOBD. My PW was essentially one step above a Tradesman in that it (thankfully) had the 8.2 Uconnect with NAV (NAV is a useless options on anything other than a Tesla IMHO). 8.2's can be...

K5 Camper. My offroad home away from home.

Good to hear about the radios Rob. I think they will be good, esp. given the number of potential trucks on this upcoming trip. ?

Find you one of these #2 True Tempers from circa 1973. While looking for one, you can help me come up with a handy lockable LCP Industries mount for mine Phil. ? It actually got more use at Lake Powell digging anchor holes on shore and poop duty than it ever did getting the Suburban it was...

New luxury Roof Top Camper soon on the market.

Not quite, but I think the Vid this year will flatten the 'overland' curve.

K5 Camper. My offroad home away from home.

It's kinda unfortunate that the outsides of our FWC are so off-road unfriendly. Like a fragile eggshell. :) Looks good Rob.

    2 AWG on wiring.

Don't overthink it on a small system like that. By 10 AWG default wire I'm assuming that to be what the mfg. installed as a solar pre-wire? If so run it and be done. Now if you load up the whole roof with panels, then that would be different.

    Fourwheel Camper Personalization

Ok, think I follow. Now the Southco latches only hold on one side of the hatch, what is on the other side of the hatch to hook onto that 1/4" lip?

    Fourwheel Camper Personalization

Did you plunge all the way through with the router for the doors? It look like you didn't as there is a lip, but how did you separate the door from the lip?

    F150 vs Tundra....I’ll make a decision tomorrow

Dude, in the six years I've read your comments, I'd be willing to bet that more than 50% are trolling comments towards anything other than Ford. You do have some good knowledge and experience sprinkled here and there, but you let your biases get way ahead of constructive posts, to the point your...
