It is really tight to fit a winch down in the bumper, and still be able to get the grill out to replace a headlight.
Just something to think about.
I like the laid back angle and bend of the JL, but would not be happy if I had to pull the winch bolts to change a headlight bulb.
I ran a Truetrac in a track car. But haven't tried one for a 4x4. Been thinking about it for the front of the Dodge Ram 2500.
What I like about a Torsen style (like the Truetrac) is it is torque sensing. If I remember right the Truetrac varies up to 2:1. What that meant on the track is, it...
Think about what you'd want for duty cycle
The least expensive 100% duty cycle compressor with tank that I'm aware of is the Puma PD1006.

It's a work horse. Not flashy or fast. Just reliable and steady.
Pick up a cheap set of flexible jumper cables. Cut one...
Agree as well with moving them inboard. Is there any structure that would get in the way?
Wonder if there is any kind of a cool light update that could be used, in place of the stock light?
Something like a high power driving light/running light/turn signal combination.
On the grill, since...
Looking good Jeff!
Congrats on the top 3 pick of SEMA for Overlander. That is a pretty awesome accomplishment, when there is so much exceptional stuff out there.
Normally I'll take a razor blade and scrape everything down clean, then use a flat edge to check for issues.
I've always used gasket tack on both sides of the gasket, and called it good.
Will be interesting to see what you find when you pull it off. Now that you know exactly where it is...
Bummer! :(
Before removing the pump, look at the bottom side of the pump behind the pulley. There is a weep hole there. If the pump was not correctly assembled fluid can leak out of that hole.
So, it may not be your fault, it may be a faulty pump.
What is awesome is that people have choices.
Choices that could mean warranty coverage.
Choices that could mean being the cool mom or dad when dropping the kids off at school
Choices that could mean going somewhere more difficult, than a person would otherwise be comfortable with
Choices that...

On the grill subject; Something else that might be cool is to offer the JL grill with the JK running/turn signal lamp.
Would make changing fenders a lot easier.
Wonder what would happen if you did a cut and buff on the stock paint. Maybe end up with a nice Patina.
Dash cover, Indian blankets on the seats, and a nice clean up.
Might net you a good return.
You know what might be a nice balance is a 34" tall tire, like a 285/75R 17. About an inch narrower at the tread, but almost as tall.
Playing in the big rocky trails out here I like as tall a tire as possible, and am used to seeing the big doughnut look. :)
If I understand the article, the idea is for these parts to become parts that can be purchased through the dealer. Either for already built trucks (through the parts department), or as dealer add-ons to a new sale.
In looking through the GM web site for their large trucks, there is all kinds...
They mention AEV high clearance flares here:

ETA: are "Plunging Halfshafts" a manly thing? I'm confused... ;)
