latch
Nice Bruce, how bout a piece of "1/8 delrin or some other plastic on the
swing-out where the latch tightens to the swing-out. That way it will make
it easier to close, won't be metal on metal and will be replacable when worn
away.

metal
Metal shell no way trying to save weight, but the frame is from my aluminum
cap. Stripped it down, saved the windows in case I start another project,
gave all the alum. to the metal shop at school to recycle. I then found a
store display that had 1x3 alum. that I used for the base of...
diy
and the best part is I'm only into it for:
alum. cap $50
misc. bolts and screws $11
velcro for top $22
$73 total
although I'm buying a JK 4 door bikini top tonite for $50 to use as a
canopy off the back...
updates
[/IMG]Well got the top on, but not fastened to the rear yet. Also if you look at the
front of the cap I used the rear zip up window for the jeep top. With some
thinking I'll be able to reach the zippers so I can roll it up so my dog can go in
the back. The other reason I put the...
lets try again
Sorry dcab i was trying to post pics, but camping in Mass I only do if I have to. Like when I go to PedroFest in Ludlow in July for 4days. If you mountain bike this is the festival to go to. Or I mostly go up north to the White mountains or any where in Maine, cause I hate...

Sorry my wife took the camera to school with her and its still there.
Where both teachers so its tough to go out of the building during classes.
Any ways what I did was took my aluminimum cap, stripped it down to the
frame, picked up a fiberglass cap from a full sized truck and removed...
So what does an alluminum cap, fiberglass cap from a full size short bed and
a Jeep soft top have in common?
pics when I have lunch so the camera recharges

tank
Hey dcab:

$19.99. last weekend I saw one at the bellingham, ma. store.

damn
Damn Euro if the guy had shown as many foto's as you I would have grabed it
when I first saw it.
Why not just go with taller springs and some wide ATV tires for now and see
how that works. Granted it won't be a rock crawler but it would be good in
sand and ruf roads.
Good luck...
well done
I thought there was a finders fee when you help a brotha out?
I've seen it on there for a couple of weeks now, so good luck with it.
Woody I'm in Milford, MA
seems to be fine
Well it seems to be fine (everyone x their fingers or nok on wood) I went by the toyota dealer to talk to service and they said it seems like its in the exhaust. Got home and shock the cat and could hear a rattle. We also looked at the head w/ a scope and saw nothing.
NGK...
Anybody ever deal w/ NGK if they had a problem w/ one of their products?
Started my truck this morning, came in to get my stuff and my daughter asks
whats that noise coming from the engine. It sounds like a metalic slapping
and then stops but the check engine lite is on. So I drop my daughter...
Drawing file
Here's a peek at what I'm thinking,
this is so you can sit, eat,or change clothes almost standing up.
Sleeping platform is in two pieces and slides back for siting or standing
and forward for sleeping.
Plus I use my truck for my DD and as a truck to work on my house, yard
or what...
I was going to keep this to my self untill I built something simalar out of a cap for the back of the taco. But I get so many Idea's hear that I thought I would share if you haven't seen this yet.

Woody
I actually did some thinking and had my daughter sit in the back and we came up with modifacations. Its not ideal but for various trips until I get a
slide-on, I'm going to slide the folding seat forward 3" and add some lower
back padding.
Thanks for the suggestions, my wife and the state...
