    2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee WJ

Thank you! Small world indeed! I was out there on loan from my company to work the refueling outage at Columbia Generating Station.

    Small efficient overlander

I'm a huge fan of Cherokees and Grand Cherokees. Not sure fuel efficient, but very reliable and easy to get parts for. The XJs certainly still have a massive amount of inexpensive aftermarket support. The WJs don't have a lot, but are pretty capable in stock form and ride very nicely on the...

    Post Pic's of your Jeep

The scenic photos from this weekend are too large. But I painted some OEM wheels I got recently and mounted them with new tires.

Dometic is doing a 10% off this month: they started a thread about it a couple weeks ago.

For Sale Dometic CFX-65 or CFX-50 fridge slide NIB

Are those tray dimensions exact? I have an Edgestar FP430 and it's like 18.125" wide. Curious if it would fit... Also, you're never around west Phoenix by chance, are you?

I'm really enjoying this thread: first time going through it today. I love the photos and cleaver fab work. Thanks for sharing.

    Marn's Basic M-416 Build

Awesome build, and great pictures! I love those M416s but they are so pricey, at least where I am.

Need a bit of help with a part in the US.

Are you able to have it delivered in the mail? If so, I found a place that ships anywhere: https://www.truckparts1919.com/febi-bilstein-master-cylinder-mercedes-5050086/ I hope this helps.

    Possible on a 2dr?

My ex and I used our 2dr Rubi for us with a RTT, fridge on slider, gear...etc. It worked well and I loved the short wheelbase. More room is always nice, but that Jeep served me very well. Only sold it for a 4 door GMC since I met someone else and now have 3 kids.

    1986 GMC S-15

Just took a couple days of reading this when I had some spare time. Awesome truck and awesome adventures. I love seeing classic, smaller trucks that aren't high dollar builds. I loved reading what you've been up to as well as the scenic photos of your adventures. You and your wife go on some...

    Cb antenna mounting location

You could make a bracket to go between the bed top and topper. Or body mount it behind a taillight and have to protrude outwards.

Bought then Built XJ for EXPO and etc

No worries! I actually found out my WJ had leaks between the upper and lower plenums. I resealed using a much better rubber seal and it has since been fixed.

    Adventure Through Maine's Allagash Wilderness

Very sorry to see this. That’s just rotten. In case you haven’t considered it; I’d change a lot of passwords for bank info and such in case someone were to extract it. I would hate to see this become more of a headache for you.

    TIRES vs MPG

I run a 35" on the GMC Sierra. I noticed the BFG A/Ts were terrible: MPG was about the same, but they only lasted ~20,000 before separating and the truck struggle to turn the wheels at a stop. I swapped to Hankook Dynapros from how happy I was on another vehicle: they are wearing better...

    2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee WJ

I also wrapped all where all vents met the plenum, RTV sealed the the seam of the plenum (it appears to be heated together at the factory) and added the same type of foam to the surface of the vents where it meets the dash pad. For the center vents, I also used tape over the seams. Conclusion...

    2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee WJ

One of my old real issues with the Jeep was the HVAC: specifically the A/C. It was cold at the vents, but very difficult for the Jeep to get and stay cool. With Phoenix area summer temperatures hitting in the 115 range on my drive home from work, I was barely staying comfortable. Passengers? No...

    2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee WJ

I found an OEM brush guard a couple weeks ago and installed it. I'm not sure I got all that was needed, but made it work and it's pretty stout. Also, it was pretty inexpensive so I cannot complain. I also have some HVAC updates to post.
