I just picked up a garmin 62s, they're on sale for $299. For me it has to be able to leave the vehicle with me. If the screen is too much of a pain to read if I ever start actually using it for directions, I'll look for one of the big Nuvi's
This post has pics of one.
auto, it'll go on, then just cut out. Then sometimes I'll turn it on by accident, and without setting it, it'll start pulling. I've never really looked into it, but it would be nice to have working properly.
1st gens are beasts, and ride horribly. But, super simple to work on and for a work rig, they're pretty good. I just hauled 4840 lbs of gravel yesterday, and was still a couple inches from even touching the bumpstops. Didn't go over 30mph though.
If I were looking now I'd hold out for a late...
I took my KM2's out in the snow last year, is was packed a little, but it did 4 wheel slides really easy. If I lived where there was more snow, I'd sipe them.
run the free trial 1st. We tried it on my FIL's G'zone commando, and I didnt like it very much. I think on a tablet it would be a lot better. Maps take forever to download for offline use.
This turns into a "while we're at it"
Everywhere that needs clear needs to be sanded down, if you go through the paint anywhere then it needs paint there too. If the paint is faded the new color wont match exactly, sometimes they dont anyway. So getting the whole thing repainted becomes the next...
Sounds like a Suburban with some roof hatches or large rear sunroofs, and sliding back windows would work best. But I think getting two of them plus extra mods might put you over $100k.
Rebuilt engine is good, as long as it was done right. I agree with Pedro, it was probably driven too long on a blown head gasket resulting in the engine rebuild, either that or the timing belt went.
For receipts it should be from the shop that did the work. A lot of times its a mechanics receipt for removal & re-installation of the engine, plus rebuild costs.
If he did it himself, you should see a pretty well equipped shop at his house. Plus receipts for all the rebuild parts and machine...
are you guys just loading them straight to the phone? We're testing it out on my Father inlaws phone, and even on wifi its taking forever. the drag a box thing is kind of awkward too. I'd almost rather select quads or something.
