I've owned a Disco I and an LR3. I much prefer the LR3, and that may be because I am not working on it every weekend. The LR3 has been dead reliable minus little quirks, but it always runs, and it always gets me where I want to go, and back.

I regularly tow three trailers, a Harbor Freight 1000lb capacity flat bed with non-led lights, a 1996 Coleman camper (about 2800lbs) with non-led lights, and the 3500 lb capacity covered trailer that I share with Dad that has the LED lights. None of them have brakes, and I haven't had trouble...

When I connect an LED trailer, the lights work fine, I just get a pulse in the taillights. It doesn't bother me, so for the few times I tow the LED trailer, I just live with it.

I have two vehicles that back each other up. One is better at people carrying (Van), one is better at offroading, exploring, trailer pulling (LR3). Both can be called on to do either, depending on situation (except the van isn't going to do any offroading, and can't pull most of my trailers)...

My parking light fault comes on every once in a while, but it always works..... My LR3 is in the dealer getting the lower control arms and a cracked tire valve stem replaced, so hopefully I will have less of the random errors, like the TPMS one.
