What did you use to get in there to be able to cut them out?

Mr heater buddy heaters in tents overnight

Because the use of the Mr Buddy heater, and other catalyst heaters, brought up certain concerns with those units inside a tent, so I mentioned other options that deals with those concerns, nothing more. It's not really bad at all. I bought it in spring and installed it near the end of summer...

Mr heater buddy heaters in tents overnight

Although I did mention it, no one seemed to of noticed or commented on it, but if you want a safe and efficient, go the way of a Propex HS2000 heater. Power consumption is relatively low (2A), combustion happens outside of the tent, so no worries of fire or the lack of oxygen. As of this...

Water Tank Level App - Sensor?

I had found this not that long ago. A sensor is on my to-do list, but will be next year. I might go this way, but we'll see what else I find. http://rvelectronics.com.au/index.php?route=product/product&path=20&product_id=60...

Mr heater buddy heaters in tents overnight

A proper safe propane solution would be a Propex heater; combustion and water stays outside, heat goes inside.

    Nd4SpdSe's 2003 Xterra SE/SC MT

Hmm. Been a while since I've updated here. I didn't even postup any information about the trip out into Eastern Canada we did. It's a trip that I wanted to do for a long time, and glad I did. Around Pleasant Bay, engine ran hot on the way up (was slow in 2nd gear) and the brakes got not...

Jeep Comanche Overland Camping Trailer Build

Trailer is looking great! Where did you get the custom box made? I've thought about it for mine, but looking at the prices for buying one premade, I could only imagine custom ones being much more expensive.

Nissan Frontier Truck Bed Off-Road Trailer - The "Frontrailer"

Same as always, busy as always, but managed to squeeze in a few things, but mostly necessary to the long weekend that was coming. . First I finished up my front receiver. This came in handy and made loading up the passageways doable as one person. Even as 3 (with the girlfriend and her cousin)...

1st Gen "Taco" on the "Frontier"!

Maybe because of the limit on aftermarket? Could also be Toyota's reputation for being extremely reliable, so if you're going out away from civilisation, you want one of the most reliable rigs you can get. The Frontier is a great truck and the D22 is a solid platform that's an evolution from the...

    Boomer the Quadravan 4x4 Camper

We're not that far apart. Maybe one day we'll cross paths. If you ever plan to come close to your northern border with Quebec/Canada, shoot me a message.

    Timer for electric heater

You could always cheat and run a relay/solenoid to engage the heater circuit. You could use any timer since the solenoid will draw just a few mA of current.

Nissan Frontier Truck Bed Off-Road Trailer - The "Frontrailer"

Also to add, with temperatures dropping to 0*C (32*F) overnight Friday, our coldest yet, I wanted to give the tent and heater a try. Last time we were at 6*C (43*F) with great success, so I want to progressively try colder, especially in controlled environments where we can jump back into our...

Nissan Frontier Truck Bed Off-Road Trailer - The "Frontrailer"

Busy week, and weekend, as always. . . Spent some time making a quick and dirty front receiver for the X. While many don't like the idea of my brush guard, I did also get it made to where I can swap it other for other accessories. I wasn't sure exctly what, but I wanted that flexibility. 3...

    Latest on 270 Degree Awnings?

I ordered mine directly through the company by email, but I have friends who ordered through alibaba.com. Not sure if you have any resellers in your area, but I know of a few companies up here in Canada that do.

    12 volt heater thoughts?

Completely understandable! I know it wasn't what you're looking for, but to give an alternative option that would at least give the desired result. I could of sworn I posted this as well, I guess I'm wrong, but have you looked at maybe making your Propex more portable, so you can switch between...

Another On Board Shower System Question...only this time its different... I hope

Indeed. Many proper water pumps, like the ShurFlo pumps, automatically turn on when there's a demande, ie: pressure in the system drops when you open your tap/valve

Nissan Frontier Truck Bed Off-Road Trailer - The "Frontrailer"

Good to know. I'd like to say that the RTT shouldn't' be as rough as a large dog. We used to have a 100lb female lab when I was a kid, and she was a beast, could break collars. Plastic clips were a no-go for what I remember. And being for a dog, it's go to be good to resist the elements. It's...

    12 volt heater thoughts?

Personally, I saved up and picked up a Wabasto AirTop 2000 air heater. Runs on gasoline (also a diesel version), but needs 12v for the pump and the fan. Rated at 0.03 – 0.06 gal/h (0.12 – 0.24 l/h) for fuel and 1.25 – 2.45 Amps (14 – 29 Watts) for power consumption. Ya...

Sure-Fire Ways to Improve Your Roof Top Tent

Thank you! Indeed they are. I got a large and a medium. I cut the large, the medium is just the right length Sorry, I must of been typing my reply while you (dmwiteman) posted, and I didn't see it, thinking it was Rattlers's post still. Even then I had to look twice, I though someone...
