Optima yellowtop battery for 1st gen Xterra?

It fits, I ran just one for a while. I actually run 2 D34's in the stock location using a PAC-200 solenoid. I have to equalise the factory plate and make a new one with an extension, but both fits. The only real problem is the story battery connection with it's 90 degree angle doesn't work well...

1st gen buying advice - S/C worth it?

I have an 03 SC manual 4x4 and it will be 10 years come spring that I've had her. I find power quite adequate, and as Darren2001 mentioned, the fuel economy isn't really out of the norm of the full framed 4x4 trucks for the time. I've been running a resistor to replace the pesky knock sensor for...

Post favorite pics of your rig and trailer

https://i.imgur.com/WqZYuQp.jpg Actually I didn't think of it. It's an abandoned NORAD/RCAF radar station in St-Sylvestre, Québec, Canada. lol!

Official Test Results: Five Ways to Heat a Tent

If you don't mine, I'd like to add some info in regards to my experience with my Webasto this past weekend. While it was a last minute trip, I really wish I would of though to bring the multimeter to measure the voltage drop. On the Webasto, I have a new of last year, Motomaster Eliminator Ultra...

Nissan Frontier Truck Bed Off-Road Trailer - The "Frontrailer"

I've been feeling down the last few weeks, and the girlfriend having a rough week, wanted to get away. While March Break in Quebec is this week, I put my off holidays to the end of the month so that I can go back to Ontario for Easter. Besides, the girlfriend doesn't get any anyway, but a nice...

    Reliable Matches?

I've had no luck with these, and I still have a box left, and a few smaller packs around and keep some in the camping kit, but I can't get them to strike on anything other then the strip. We just tend to use dollar store BBQ lighters. I usually have a few cans of butane for my soldering torch...

Max sized inverter from a cigarette lighter plug

I want to say 400w. I had a 400 that had the cigarette adapter, but my 800w was made to go directly to the battery, or I want to say that it did both, and said in the manual to go directly to the battery if above 400 draw.

Official Test Results: Five Ways to Heat a Tent

I'm flattered for the quote. And you could of just stolen/linked the direct image, doesn't bother me ;) I've been getting my stuff from Heatso.com in the UK as well. Not too bad in shipping to Canada surprisingly for a good price and fairly quick! I've been running my Webasto without the...

Propex heater ducting with PVC, thoughts?

Wow, alright, that will work! Thanks for checking that out and letting me know!

Propex heater ducting with PVC, thoughts?

No, that is made directly come off the unit at a 90 degree. I need just a regular 90 degree enbow that I can connect between some section of 60mm duct, because the ducting can't flex that tight. JCDriller, I love the installation idea!

Propex heater ducting with PVC, thoughts?

Ya, I looked into it and ABS to see, cause I'm trying to find a 90 degree fitting for my 60mm Webasto ducting. I honestly had a hard time finding a clear yes or no. There's a bunch of info in regards to it's use in HVAC systems, and apparently popular in Europe. Maybe it's a special version or...

Nissan Frontier Truck Bed Off-Road Trailer - The "Frontrailer"

Oh wow. I guess I wasn't as up to date on this as I thought I was. Time flies with the haunted house, taking it down, then the Christmas parade, then Christmas vacation and getting caught up from the craziness of the last few months, those months have flown by. Time to get caught up! . . The...

Secure the ladder to the ground?

I do secure the ladder, but I use a strap from the top most step down to either the rim of the trailer, or my sliders on the truck. I've started doing it since we experienced one really bad storm (that had spawned tornado's earlier) where the wind was coming on to the front of the tent and was...

    awning/awning rooms and wind limits

Went through some +50km/h winds from a storm that had apparently spawned tornado's earlier. Winds might be faster but the nearby weather station registered an NA for that time, the 54km/h winds were registered 20km away. It handled it well except the poles. They were a twist-lock style that...
