A military wrap is having 2 main leafs; the second literally wrapping about the main leaf.
In the pics, a 5th leaf was added since.
And changing the location of the shocks allows more and better flex, but sacrifices stability, but I don't really notice it, maybe in the winter, and...
The tongue can be many lengths, but if you're off-roading, it's commended to have it just long enough to be able to jackknife the trailer 90 degrees.
Personally, I'm also a fan of matching the trailer ;)
I'm 500lb over my GVRW with me in it with my tools. Last year I grabbed over 30 cinder blocks and put them into the X (sans tools). I could feel her leaning back but never bottomed out. I run a custom military wrap leaf on revolver shackles
There was a similar thread a while back. I had the same issue and I had made an interesting concept that attaches to the roof rack on the X and I can lift and slide it over, it wasn't pretty and used it once before going to a trailer. However someone else had a very similar idea that was way...
Check out the Kirkham Motorsports AC Cobra. They actually have a PDF of the process and go through some of the research on making their aluminum parts and frame.
I use the ones (the regular, not the V3) in my Xterra and they work great. They're from VLED. I've been wanting to upgrade the tail lights on the trailer to then but I haven't gotten to it yet.
I stick with 12v the best I can. The trailer doesn't have an inverter yet, but the truck has a 1500w that's good for stuff like power tools and the Tassimo, more luxuries then necessities
I see people tow their rigs on flatbeds and part them on or near the trail heads while they do out and play on the trail, be it a truck, quad or side-by-side. You can't be nearly as bad a full-size with a float parked there, and especially overnight, there's way less people out on the trail at...
Very much actually. It was suppose to be one of my first of the season projects, but we're working on getting a house, where we've been so busy/stressed with that process that I've forgotten about it. I've been trying to find a crank pulley for a good price over the winter to do this, but no...
When I ordered my single awning, which came in 2 boxes, the awning itself, and the sides/floor in another, I think it only cost me C$30-something when I picked it up.
That's actually a good Q. Could always ask, but I'm pretty sure it's exactly like the Supa-Wing 2500
