Where did you get the mesh? I like that idea to hold wallets and cell phones, etc. I could even see hanging mesh bags on either side, one for my wife and one for me. I tried looking for mesh to hang but must be looking in the wrong place.
What did you use to secure the track to the ceiling? Are the screws into the wood only or do they go into the roof framing? Also, is there a concern about the ends cutting into the soft side when you have the roof down?

minnepiper, I wanted to add something else to the delivery. My recommendation is that you have it delivered to a FWC distributor. Sean installed the tie-downs and then did the wiring. I believe that he did something a little different and better when it came to the wiring and installing. It...
I'm from Indiana and if I remember, there is a California tax that was fairly steep and when you add fuel cost to that, the delivery charge to Eagle, Wisconsin was considerably cheaper.

Galvanic issues occur between dissimilar metals: Galvanized/Aluminum, copper/galvanized, aluminum/copper. There is no reaction between stainless and aluminum.
We have an F-250, 8' bed and have a 2014 FWC Grandby. We got ours with the front dinette. That sleeping arrangement might be a little cramped when our grand kids get older. Right now they would fit in the front dinette together. If you are just taking the boys, you should be fine, and even...
If you go to Wander the West there are great FWC build stories. Bill Harr has one of the best posts. We have a 2014 Grandby, fully loaded with a front dinette. Taking 2 grand kids for a trip might be a bit cramped. 2 adults in a pop-up works fine. You just have to develop a routine. I get...
Congrats. The guys at Hallmark are great. Matt spent a lot of time answering my questions. Hallmark would have been my first choice but I just couldn't afford the price. In the end I bought a Four Wheel Camper Grandby for my 2013 F-250 longbed. I'm very happy with my selection. Good luck...
Apparently Umtaneum didn't ready your post MyTaco. Stout lift mechanism? Been through very heavy rains in my FWC and never seen a drop around the windows or anywhere. It is sad everytime I see something on MyTaco's post.
This is one of the advantages of having a pop-up camper. Lower the top and go. While in the Smoky Mountains, we lowered the top and had everything cleaned up and ready to explore in 15 minutes. FWC aren't designed to be used off the truck. Do you pack-up your tent when you go for the day...
We have a 2014 Grandby with the extended bed. My wife and I sleep North/South. She is 5'-2" and I'm 5'-9" My feet hang over a little. Plenty of width. I don't have any issues with my feet hanging off the end.
