Your "Must Haves" in an expedition trailer

I am in the process of having a teardrop built so this is an interesting thread for me. My perspective is driven by 2 main thoughts: 1. I view a trailer itself as a luxury, compared to tent camping and cooking on a rock, so my list of "needs" might seem pretty basic to some. 2. I subscribe to...

    New product

You are right, the position of the axle relative to the wheels makes it look like it is a solid axle. This is a very interesting build.

    Teardrop Trailer Build

Thanks for the feedback guys. I am looking to install just one Group 34 AGM battery if I can get away with it. I bought a Honda generator and will look to charge it that way; Bill I will check on the Honda's output but when I checked it, it was ok. I will keep you guys posted on progress.

    New product

Those are really nice. I assume it has a torsion axle under it, which keeps the cost down, but also limits its off road capability as far as i can tell.

    Teardrop Trailer Build

Making progress. Trying to decide if this is an ultra large teardrop or a small travel trailer. The galley has turned out to be a bit of a challenge so the design phase is ongoing.

InReach SE - Anyone got one yet?

I have had and used mine several times in the last few months. All works well from what I can tell but I just use the basic features- bluetooth connection to an android tablet and to view the maps and text to my wife each night I am out.

    JKU spring and shock help

I have run OME, Bilstein, Terafelx, Doetsch, OEM, Rubicon Express, Rancho shocks on various rigs over the years. The Teraflex are too soft for my tastes but seem to be ok shocks otherwise. I like the stiffness and responsiveness on the Bilsteins but they have worn out too fast in my opinion...

    Yeti 70 qt cooler

I own 2 Yetis size big and small. I go on week long offroad trips with w 10# ice block in the big one. I generally come back with 1/3 to 1/2 of the block left. I don't pay much attention to how often I open the lid, whether it is in the sun., etc. I just drain the excess water every other day...

Upgrade recommendations for Tear Drop & TV

Fashioning spigots for some of the popular cans has been challenging I think, based upon reading some of the posts here. So I finally just settled on the 6g Reliance blue jug. The spigot that comes with it is pretty decent, but I wanted a "solid" cap for travel. So I bought an extra cap and...

Upgrade recommendations for Tear Drop & TV

I am in the process of having an offroad trailer built. I looked pretty hard at running water systems, fixed gravity fed tanks etc. in the end I have opted for the KISS system- Reliance 6g container that is secured upright for travel (get an extra cap and 1/2 plug from the hw store to havea...
