    Goal Zero Yeti 400 Experiences?

So let me make sure I understand. Goal Zero 400 would cost $450- ish, and it is "compatible" with a solar charger panel from ... Goal Zero. I reasonably portable panel with at least some capacity would be the Escape 30, for another $240. So one would now be into this for close to $700. For a...

    Teardrop Trailer Build

Took the trailer up Coyote Canyon above Bishop this past weekend. For any of you that know that road/ trail, it is steep and twisty but largely boulder free. I have taken an M416 up there before, so I did not think twice about taking the teardrop up there. An overall 17' trailer is too long...

    Max Coupler installation

I have tried disconnecting from all 3 pins- center pin is the easiest way to disconnect/ reconnect in my view. When in camp, I remove the trailer side of the MC and leave a locking pin in the hole.

    Teardrop Trailer Build

First Offroad Trip Well, we have taken the trailer on a couple of quick one nighters locally, but this last week we headed out for 3 nights near Courtright Resevoir above Fresno. Here are a few pictures: The trailer worked as planned/ expected/ hoped. The original plan was (and still is)...

Wrangler beats FJ Cruiser in final test

Not a real world test in my view, not fir most of us that own vehicles long term. Own it for a few years and then see which one is "better". I currently own a Wrangler and am a former Land Cruiser owner, sold with 190k miles on it. I like my Jeep with 30k miles on it but would never own it...

    GPS - Garmin Rino 520

Those rinos are awsome. I used them alot when my kids were younger. It let me communicate with them and track them when they were out on their dirt bikes without me.

    $50-$70 Amazon Snorkels

If its primarily for dust, I will pass. There are lots of times that I would take in more dust with than without a snorkel. If its for water, I would have to be crossing water that is approaching 3 feet high for it to be of use vs the standard placement of the airbox, and if that is the case I...

    $50-$70 Amazon Snorkels

I think the first question is, do you need a snorkel, based upon where you live and how you use your rig? Living the the SW, in my many offroad trips I can only think of only a time or two where it might have come in handy and then only more for piece of mind.

    Trailer Kitchen

Not sure if a TD kitchen interests you, but I strongly share your desire for minimum set up. Here is what I conceived and had built for me. Mounted stove, wash basins instead of a sink, 14 gallons of water, cooler slide integrated, lots of storage. HTH
