The Roaming Allwines have returned home to PA (3 week road trip)

To be quite honest, Cape May really wasn't our cup of tea. It is very quaint and nicely done. I didn't like the parking meters at the beach and having to pay for a beach pass. The flag ceremony at Sunset beach was nice. We did that the two evenings we were there. I have a bunch of stuff...

The Roaming Allwines have returned home to PA (3 week road trip)

We have finally made it home and have some great stories to remember the trip by. All-in-all the adventure went down as a pretty successful endeavor. I'll add more to this story later but here is the gist of it: Objective: to explore the east coast with the family and visit family along the...

    Propane tank....???

Well... we are back from our three week, 3,221 mile road trip. The tank bracket worked like a charm. I had a little rust where the water got in but not too bad. I wasn't able to source enough of the square end plugs before we left so I was stuck with the open ends. The only issue I had was...

    Cheap Fridge <$400 shipped

I just replaced my battery with a DieHard Platinum Marine battery (group 34). It is the same as the Odyssey battery. No dead battery anymore. We are about to put the fridge through a three week test on our trip.

Tire Question: Carry over from Overland JK topic

Well, my initial plans were changed for me by my wife. I was showing her the G.C. spare wheels I was planning on getting and she said: "no your not! They are hideous!" So, I'm searching for wheels that are acceptable to her.... So now I have to think about back spacing too. I found these...

Tire Question: Carry over from Overland JK topic

Well, I have the auto... Maybe I need to rethink things through... If I went with 35s what would be the correct ratio. 4.88?

Tire Question: Carry over from Overland JK topic

I just pulled my build sheet out from Jeep. Correction, I have 4.10 gears, Dana 44 rear, Dana 30 front. The build sheet doesn't mention a tow package but It has the factory hitch and wiring so I am guessing it does.

Tire Question: Carry over from Overland JK topic

I think I have the 3.55 gear in my Sahara. Does anyone know the max tire for those gears? I'm not thinking 33s might be my limit??

Tire Question: Carry over from Overland JK topic

Oh yeah....I am currently planning on the AEV Nth degree lift kit. I'm still a little bit up in the air about the 35s. I'm not sure I want to get into re-gearing right away. I'm still open to all options. I'm just doing all my wheel/tire research right now. Nothing will be bought...

Tire Question: Carry over from Overland JK topic

So it has been established on the Overland JK topic that this Jeep did indeed have 1.5 - 2" spacers and using 35" KM2s. Based upon this additional information on that topic, it is not a "best practice" to use a 12.5" tire on a 7.5" wheel. The question now remains: is there an appropriate...

JK Overland Project: Expeditions West 3.0

OK, that makes sense. I gues I'll have to start looking for narrow 35" tires. I really want to use these wheels.
