With what is going to be going in the back of the jeep, the cage is an advantage for us. But I do see your point. It was just something I did to see how it works.
Thanks for the input. I guess our three week road trip will be a good test of the 100lb sliders. We'll see how it goes! Our will be full the whole time.
I'll actually look into the possibility of making a few of these if anyone is truly interested when I get back from our trip at the end of August. I am also planning on adding some turnbuckles for lateral security on off-pitch trails.
It was good to meet you to! I got the drawer sliders at Home Depot. Both sets are rated for 100lbs each and are 22 inches long. I think there are also 24" sliders as well however, I didn't get those as they were only rated for 75lbs.
I was thinking how I can make up some jigs so that I could...

Great Article! We just took our 4-yr old camping last weekend and she loved it! We are all really looking forward to our 3-week camping/road trip!!
I also agree with everyone who has posted so far; provide plenty of distraction and go at your kids' cadence. That way, everyone will have fun!
Has there been a definitive answer on the wheels/backspacing/spacer question yet? I plan to get the Mopar Steelies with the narrow 35's. I need an absolute on the spacers or not.
I'm not one to start something If I wasn't already involved in. Plus I also wanted to be an example to my daughter that you have to rise above people like this and don't sink to their level.
And it wasn't like he was trying to hide it. Everyone in that area of the campground had to hear it. What disturbed me the most was that he was very cordial to me through out the weekend.
Our worked great this past weekend in the wrangler on its maiden voyage. I did however immediately replace the plug and added the locking socket. I probably will not stay with this solution at the connection is pretty bulky. The fridge itself though kept everything nice and cool at 37°F all...
