new recovery tracks for large offroad vehicles

I wasn't intending to get on the testers case to get out there really, I was just angling to get the thread going more and get some info which I am sure will start to come along soon, mostly kidding around, I have had a very good experience purchasing from Alan and would not hesitate to do so...

new recovery tracks for large offroad vehicles

50 psi is pretty much normal operating pressures on the road for me so on sand they will just dig in, you will have to go down to around 20-25 to do well in sand, that is with 19.5's. Endoftheroad, I wasnt aware of you getting a set, well that just blows my attempt at coercing Alan into sending...

can you elaborate more on that, like what is the provocation needed and this might be touchy but type or make of battery, what is the explosion like?

new recovery tracks for large offroad vehicles

Bueller?Bueller? Reviewing this thread and noticed two things, one, that there was a disproportionate ratio of where the tracks went, ie, two to the US, two to Australia and only one to Canada, now that seems like a simply honest mistake that can be easily rectified, I believe Alan you have my...

    Diving in Head First!

looking good, seems like a trip is usually the best way to get stuff done in a short time, keep at it! Sika will flow better if you warm it up first, especially 252. If the proper fluid is not used in my diff every time you take a turn it clicks loudly and stutters around the corner (...

THE TRIP - Cape York 2015

Wow! Glad you are all OK and too bad about the truck. I would be interested in hearing about the circumstances that led to the rollover. I had an accident several years back where during the crash I thought for sure I would roll but didn't....after that I assumed that they are pretty darn...

Is the MUTT required to bleed the brakes?

OK, no ABS, here are a couple of other items that you will not see on Oz trucks but may come as standard on N American trucks, in particular Canada: Heated mirrors. Block heater. I see no reason for Oz trucks to have ABS, and really other than ice/snow covered roads there is no reason...

Is the MUTT required to bleed the brakes?

Owen don't forget that we all do not live in the tropics......... braking on snow or ice is when you will need that ABS! It would make sense that the trucks going down under aren't equipped with ABS, but are you sure yours does not have it?

    06 fe fuel filter change

How full is the fuel tank? If it is pretty empty it seems to not be able to draw the fuel up on its own, I had a similar incident with a very low tank and it would not draw fuel, I put a line on the bleed pipe and sucked on it old school until fuel started to enter the line and the pump worked...

    2005 2nd to 1st gear shift?

When I drive off road where there is a need for first gear I find it much better to use 4 low, that way gear selection is easy, obviously that does not allow you to throw it into 1st gear but second or third etc are in the range of 1st gear high. I use 4 low even when the conditions really dont...

Healyjet, this is it, very simple, I bolted it onto the spare tire rack so that it is easy to remove. Feels solid with no sway.

out with the old in with the new

Fugly, Bigoolies is right, it is a Seaeagle, we took it to Mexico last year and I really like it, it paddles pretty good for what it is, tracks well and is extremely stable. If you get one I would advise that you get long paddles for it, the width and the height that you sit above water is...

    Isuzu NPS 300 camper build

roll up shutters was the route I was going to go with for my pass through too, I was looking at some roll ups off a fire truck and they are a much tighter fit and finish, looked good too but still has the cold issue even tho I think I saw somewhere that there is an insulated version, cant see...
