    GAP tool Suspension lifting?

Posted on the other thread the IIDtool menu should help. You dont just have short rods, you have adjustable rods! I used mine to recenter the height sensors and get more range of motion without fault, but thats a discussion for later.

GAP IID Tool Guided Suspension Calibration issue

TexasTJ - I am so confused by your post...why have lift rods to "drive in access (+2) mode with no rubbing"? That is +2 inches and -2 inches so essentially OEM stock height. If stock height doenst rub, why do you need short rods at all? Unless you are just trying to drive in +2" 100% of the...

    Alpha Equipt Wheels for LR4

Wish I did this years ago...Disco3 TDv6 smaller brakes, BMW X5 17" wheels, and 33" BFG KM3s (LT285/70r17). >> Less suspension lift = more wheels on the ground >> More sidewall = less flats >> Lower PSI = Better ride on & off road >> BMW wheels little more offset = no rubbin without spacers...

GAP IID Tool Guided Suspension Calibration issue

Interesting. I just ordered an IDDTool BT from L8. An upgrade from my EASControl which has been flawless for 10 years. Hopefully have it and a new set of height sensors in a couple days to test. My truck literally only complains (red faults) on the hi-way (any road really >30mph)...

    Lift rods vs GAP?

275/70r17 (33"x11.5") BFG KM3s, BMW X5 rims, GAP IIDtool, adj rods, and TDv6 brakes is a great combo. Stock on the street and +1"/25mm here:

LR4 Johnson Rods + Alignment = Uneven Tire Wear. How Fix?

BTW - I have left my GAP EAS_control plugged to my LR3 com port since Dec 2013. No problems here.

LR3 OEM Locker intsall, is it possible?

Might be worth investigating...One of the things I like most about my ARB locker is that it is manual on/off. Seems like a lot less stress on the drive train for it to engage BEFORE its needed. I prefer less drama.

Adjustable length rods and maximizing sensor range

FIRST: write down your current calibration settings (just to be safe). Using IIDT put the suspension in tight tolerance mode. Measure your wheel hub center to fender arch on all four corners. Mine was about 19.25 inches all around (on-road mode). I did this a while ago so from memory: I...

    LR3 Reverse Lights Upgrade

I ordered these specific ones back in 2006, and they have been super bright to this day! $25 for the pair back in 2006 and still same today. The brightness easily over comes my aftermarket window tint and the color seems to be very compatible with the backup camera: https://amzn.to/2I068of I...

    Air suspension and Alignmets

Definitively need an alignment when switching heights for daily driving. Alignments are the one and only thing I used to take my truck to the dealership for. I have since found a indie ex-master mechanic that does an even better job. Air suspensions are becoming way more common....Good luck!

    New Defender News

+2" (+50mm) Bigger tires get me into situations that are beyond what Land Rover engineers designed for, and sometimes it even get me back. ;-) Old saying: "More fun to drive a slow car quickly, than a fast car slowly" applies to offloading too. Id rather be challenged with a stock truck...

    New Defender News

I think what FLMotero really meant to say is, I hope GAP releases support for Defender2. Agreed short rods are dumb, but I do like my adjustable sensor links for eliminating manufacturing variations and zeroing out calibration differences on all four corners. More range of motion without...

LR3 owners sound off, which tires?

esa31.9t: 275/65r18 is 32.1x10.7" and rolls on bumps. Make sure you relo the left-front ride height sensor wire to top of frame rail. If you have rear HVAC, then you might need to flatten out the right-rear body, seam, wheel liner and relo the heater hose. Yes, deflated spare will fit - dish...

Anyone have a high mileage LR3?

Over the past 10 years, I have done almost everything mentioned so far and electronic parking brake ($1000) and Rear Drive shaft ($340). Unfortunately do keep maintenance records and know to well that I have spent more on total maintenance than the original purchase price ($23.5K - Purchased...

    Discovery 3 (LR3) and Discovery 4 (LR4) Registry
