Well done JWest! Pic 6 is impressive flex. Are you still using LLAMS electronic trickery or just GAP IID to set the height? What size are your BFG?
Jason should give you some swag...I think you just sold us on the strut spacers.
For reference, I swapped out my HF 12K winch for a Warn VR12. The HF 15 sec use / 15 min cool down cycle was too limiting for me. I kept the HF mount and wireless controller.
Good call on the 17"! Im heading the same path!! I know you already did the v6 brake reduction, but want to make the clear for any casual forum spectators.
I have run three sets of 275/65r18 Duratracs at stock height LR3 without spacers. I had to ziptie the left front height sensor wire to the top of the frame. I have 3rd row heat/ac so it took 30min of light work. Right rear wheel well heaterhose had to be tucked in the body gap, the body seam...
I did just the rods for a while way back before IIDTOOL ever existed. Right or wrong, it is the defacto beginner mod. Scott's service department is GREAT and has never steered me wrong.
"aesthetics" is a big part, but the rods allow for bigger diameter tires. Are you not seeing the...
Lots of trial-and-error. My adjustable rods have a turnbuckle (think thats the correct term). I dont remember exactly but after an alignment and height calibrations, I put it back in tight tolerance mode. Found the corner with the largest calibration factor and twisted 1 full turn and...
Agreed w/One small caveat: I used my adjustable rods to zero out the calibration variations between the four corners. My rods are all close to OEM lengths and truck rides OEM heights, except when I need extra lift using the IIDTOOL. With the sensors synchronized, I get more range of moment...
WHy would need to cut anything structural? With the glass removed there is plenty of access. The RTT weight is at least partially offset by the weight with removed glass.
The quote is really: "as slow as possible, as fast as necessary"
I have torn the side walls of numerous "e" rated Duratracs at <5mph. There is just not enough sidewall to airdown a 7,000lb truck.
