If they swap the cam and rockers first. A 3.5l turbo v6 would be handy.

    New Defender Rage/Hate Thread

If Jeep is the only company building suspensions right, that counts as innovation. Innovation can be a revolutionary change, by using something classic. LR should have kept the solid axles on the defender. I can get Bronco or 4runner soon, for a fraction of the cost. All Jeep needs is to...

What is your choice? powerstroke 6.0, powerstroke 6.4 and Ram3500

My Aisen is pretty darn clunky. Not smooth at all. So I won't miss it. Should be easy to make something better. Regular auto transmissions are pretty mature science. About one shift flare per week. (I don't count the shift flares when cold, there's a ton of them, but operator error...

What is your choice? powerstroke 6.0, powerstroke 6.4 and Ram3500

For Ford you want the 6.7l, or the disposable gas engines. I wouldn't touch a used 6.0, or 6.4. Heck, I won't touch any used truck. You're rolling the dice buying new today. We trade in lemons now, not service them or go through months of lemon law bs. Manual trans? Haha. Good luck.

Cooper makes 35x12.5r20 ST Maxx that F rated and 3900# capacity. Keep in mind that new tires might just be wiggly for a while.

Helwig bigwig. Try Sumo Rebel springs as well.

    Sway control help.

You never noticed it with a DRW. That's a major clue. It's your tires or lack thereof. Try stronger firmer tires aired up to 88. Make sure you have plenty of rear spring, quality dampers, and maybe a swaybar. Cross a scale. I wonder what that camper weighs. Some people overload...

EPA Diesel Engine “Delete Tuning” Crackdown...Is It Here Now?

So whats your game plan? Wearing a giant pink hoo haa on your head ain't going to stop any rioters. Maybe your idol, dumbo ears, can get all the rifles back that he gave to the cartels, and put them to better use? If the military is called in to prevent destruction, so be it. Not even a...

    Cirrus 820 Review and Insight

I'd consider putting the half ton model on a one ton truck. But those interior pics.......while very nice, looks heavy as a pig.

So 17" compressed, 24" extended. King PR2508-SS https://www.filthymotorsports.com/2_5_King_Smoothie_Shocks_p/king-pr25ss.htm Just call them with your weights and measurments, they'll know what to get. But you should remove your bump stops and remeasure.

And here I thought you were kidding with the screen name? Pics or it didn't happen!

Do you regret buying a base model truck?

Power seats would be nice. My Ford manual seat makes it to a few comfortable positions for me though. The Dodge gets close, but since the steering wheel is 3-4" too close to the dash, no luck. I think with telescopic steering it would be just as good.

Yeah sorry. I love YJ's on leaf springs. Never thought about converting one with a kit.

Do you regret buying a base model truck?

LMTV joke? Base models all have cruise, AC and tilt. Fords also have telescoping steering, something the Dodges sorely lack. For a shiny nickle, the FORD XL blah blah package adds power windows, power and heated mirrors, and power locks. After that, the only option I want is Fx4 elocker...

    Front Mechanical Locker Experiences?

Detroit Lockers, and Yukon Grizz lockers, aren't lockers at all. They're unlockers. They unlock the outside tire in turns for a moment. They're locked up at all other times. The Grizz is perfect for strong front diffs. I prefer selectable rears now. Billie, you're thinking of the G80...

    Front Locker is it needed?

You have to be a bit more careful with an autolocker and IFS. But we do it all the time. If you can afford an air locker, go for it. For example, if you hardly ever use 4wd, and it's a straight ahead shot through some slop, the autolockers have no draw backs in the front. When I lived...

    Front Locker is it needed?

The traction control can still spin the front tires a ton if there's rough patches shifting weight left and right causing the diff to unload quicker than the TSC can keep up. Front locker is still easier on terrain. It ratchets just fine in turns, I don't notice any excessive trail wear at...
