I double check my that my keys are in my ziplock bag when backpacking.
Double checking has caused me to lose my keys or phone countless times. Check for my key, phone falls out. Check for my phone, keys fall out. I just leave the keys in the truck now. Travel with the crank relay instead.
I'd pay 44 for one.
While I'm bummed about the lack of a manual trans. I'll only be buying a Jeep/Bronco/4runner if, or when, the Mrs. needs a minivan. She'll prefer an auto. I'm not allowing a Honda Odessey in my drive way. Not that it could make it across my driveway anyways.
Can I put 35's on the Defender?
I currently have 11 (drag-able) inches under my rear pumpkin, and 17" under my skidplate. Seems like plenty. If either is close to those #'s and shorter.
My point is, that it's important to know where and what the ground clearance number is from. 11" is...
Beaches. The hwy bridge to Keys. Key Largo, Key West. Ocala national forest. Whatever that forest south of Tallahassee is. East Harbor State park (left my doors in my spare tent, the bike tent). Bass Island.
Those are all places where top down doors off, is absolutely...
What really stinks is that engineer admitted that he looked at wheels and tires, and still chose to use something that belongs on a Honda Accord.
''Careful driver, we didn't hardpack the entire trail with a steam roller yet:
Exactly.
Are you going glamping or not? There's a ton of weight you can rip from any overlanders setup with just a few minutes of effort. Even with my setup, you have room for over 300# of frivolities with a Bronco or 4runner. Wrangler? Not so much I guess. I don't think 2000#...
Croom.
Ocala National forest. Any 4x4 is fine there. But fullsize's are best. More camper.
And sand, lots and lots of sand. P'enty of beach camping and unimproved woods campgrounds.
The Bronco coming out, might be the best thing to happen to Jeep and 4runner fans in a long time. It's going to force them to listen to us, and try some more aggressive designs. LR will most likely bow out and make more station wagons.
Jeep doesn't need a v8. But I'm not goong to complain...
