Advice on Optimal Tire Pressure (LR4 with 265/65R18 BFG A/T KOs)

I've found the sweet spot with my cooper zeon ltz 285/60-18s to be 44 front and 47 rear when the car if fully loaded with gear and fuel....max stated on the tire is 50. I drop it down to 40 front 42 rear when not fully loaded. Key is to to the chalk test with the rig fully loaded (including...

    LR3 rear bumper+dual swing outs

I think jumping to a conclusion that ARB is at fault for the poor fitment is a preliminary. I suspect the more likely scenario is that your LR3 may have had front end damage at some point in the past. The reason I think this is the likely scenario is that the brackets that you were unable to...

My LR3 lightweight storage platform build (UPDATED: actual dimensions on pg 4)

its just pressed against the c-piller. From the pictures you will see that it levers on the side plastic shelving and then mounts into place with a j-hook attached to the lower drings. its a really simple mouting system and could some in and out in under a minute. Its very solid once in as well.

Here is an example of the connectors: ...then you just press them into the 1" aluminum tubing with a rubber mallet. Go to www.eztube.com. Note that you need to purchase their tubing as it's got ridges inside it that bites into the connectors.

My LR3 lightweight storage platform build (UPDATED: actual dimensions on pg 4)

I ended up taking a gamble on a Travall cargo barrier (http://www.travall.us/land-rover/travall-pet-barrier-tdg1299) and got lucky....an absolute perfect fit with my platform and frame. Couldn't have asked for a better fit:

My LR3 lightweight storage platform build (UPDATED: actual dimensions on pg 4)

No welding needed with my set up as all connectors just press in. For a single side platform frame you will need to come up with some type of bracket that you can anchor at some of the anchor points holding in the 7th seat

It opens more than enough to get anything in and out just fine. Arb's top is removable as well so I suppose if I ever had something huge that required the lid to open fully I could just remove it....though I can't ever imagine needing to do this.

    LR3 rear bumper+dual swing outs

Was simple in my view....like I said sure a little time consuming but ARB's 'see ******** run' type instructions made it super simple to install (so long as you followed the instructions) and in my case everything fit like a glove.

    LR3 rear bumper+dual swing outs

I think you need to call ARB, something isn't right. There is either something wrong with the bumper itself or your LR3 may have had front end damage you we're aware of. I just relooked at the instructions (specifically steps 54-56) just to remind myself of what you are referring to and mine...

    LR3 rear bumper+dual swing outs

What major mods are you talking about? I was able to install mine without any issues. Bolted right in as per the instructions...I personally felt ARB's made the bumper super simple to install (just a bit time consuming). Only thing you need to modify (cut) is the wheel arches, which you'd...

My LR3 lightweight storage platform build (UPDATED: actual dimensions on pg 4)

I'll shoot you a PM. I'm 6 foot so I don't have any issue with seeing inside the fridge, however my wife (at 5'2") can't. I figure for her, she can use the flip down tail gate as a booster to allow her visibility into the fridge. :)

    Post up your drawer/storage system

Still debating what type of tie down system I want for the platform. since part of its duty will be as a sleeping platform (once I finish the second frame for the 2nd row seat area), I don't want anything protruding upwards on the fore/aft on the platform...though maybe the sides. I have been...

My LR3 lightweight storage platform build (UPDATED: actual dimensions on pg 4)

Seat covers are not OEM. I wanted something that was simple to take on and off (unlike the OEM's), so I opted for the set Lucky8 offers: http://lucky8llc.com/Products.aspx?ProductID=4366 . I have the fronts also and each can be put on or taken off in under a minute. I love them. Rears stay...

    Post up your drawer/storage system

I've finally got around to completing my rear hatch area storage platform in my LR3. The goals for this platform were: (1) Had to be light weight (the LR3 already weighs a lot, especially with the ARB bumper, Rover Specialties Sliders, roof rack, etc) (2) Had to be easily removable...think...

    Lr3 vs. lr4 towing

Now ya gotta talk the dealer into letting you put the 32s on the lr4 and see how she does. ;-) On a serious note - One thing you may want to do is reset the transmission adaptation on you lr3. Once reset hook up your trailer and drive around with trailer for a couple hundred miles. The first...

    Lr3 vs. lr4 towing

Have you thought about using the LR3's manual shift mode so that way you can control what gear is best to stop the 'gear hunting' while in auto mode? Another thought would be to try the "sport mode" to see if that makes a difference to keep with full auto....the sport mode holds gears longer in...

My buddy sunk his 03 Discovery, now it won't start.... Help? Pic!

was water sucked in thru the intake? may want to check to see if the air filter is soaked. A worst case too could be a vapor lock if water was ingested or even bent valves.
