    2010 patriot soft roader build.

This body plus a SFA should have been the "new Cherokee." Typical of Jeep at this point...unfortunately.

Diff in coleman dual fuel stoves

Subscribing. I'm a lantern guy, but the stoves share most of the same tech. I've had maybe a hundred lanterns and 20 stoves over the last few years. I buy, sell, fix, and trade GPAs and have learned a ton from http://colemancollectorsforum.com and...

    Truck Sits Lower On Driverside

Pack more heavy **** on the passenger side. Some driver side squat is totally normal.

    Hauling wood in ??

It's an old joke/proverb: The red man builds a small fire and sits close. A white man builds a big fire and sits far away. Don't be so sensitive. It's funny. Both sides of my lineage are laughing.

Mine has been great. How about yours?

Where to Mount your GoPro for Off Roading / Adventureing / Overlanding

Great video! I just skipped through it, but the camera was never in the same place twice. That's important! Too many people stick the camera in one spot and record an hour of a static shot. Yawn. A multitude of mounting points, plus getting a buddy/passenger/spotter to run ahead and record...

Import RTT From China? Ever try it? Pitfalls concerns?

The Smitty is similar to the eBay model listed above, but there is no coverage out over the ladder. The annex is not included, but is available for $130. http://www.amazon.com/Smittybilt-2788-Tent-Annex/dp/B00S9G7LS6 All these tents come from China anyway. I was a little concerned...

    6 Person RTT

I'd have probably gone with a 4-person RTT and a 2-person in-vehicle setup, but I'm anxious to see what you come up with!

Skinny or wide tires; that is the question...

I think a tall, skinny tire makes the lift look taller. The additional diameter definitely fills out the wheel well better. I dig it!

    Protecting RTT and awning covers

I know companies like Meguiars and 303 make products for vinyl roof covers and convertibles. Any of you know of any substance that will help protect and extend the life of RTT and awning covers?

    Chines Radiators?

I've bought 3 for pennies for various vehicles. I have several years on all 3. They seem to be the same quality parts stores are offering. I wouldn't hesitate to put in a cheap eBay radiator while working on finding a better option.

Jerry-can rust and what to do

The Coleman lantern collectors deal with rusty tanks all the time. They use Evaporust to eliminate the rust. http://www.evapo-rust.com/ Then use Caswell's epoxy to line the tank to prevent rust in the future. http://www.caswellplating.com/epoxy-gas-tank-sealer.html It really depends on...

Looking to absorb some of the Jeep wisdom here

Wouldn't worry about the Rubicon package. For most people, the t-case is setup too low and the additional features of such little value that the premium it commands is uneconomical. The most important thing of all is your wife getting exactly what she wants. All the rest is fungible. Hope...

    Tepui Tent RTT

They look identical to what came with my Smittybilt. Take some measurements and I can confirm. It is said that a majority of the various RTTs come from the same Chinese manufacturer, so it's quite likely that the parts are interchangeable.

    Hauling wood in ??

I usually take a couple milk crates worth of kindling. They're durable, stack nicely, double as seats and step stools, and the processed indoor lumber scraps I use run no risk of carrying pests or disease. I also typically carry a few pieces of seasoned oak in the Trasharoo just so I have...

To straight axle swap or not? Let's hear it.

It's easier to swap a solid axle under a newer rig than it is to improve the features, reliability, technology, and comforts on an older vehicle.
