Better than new now, thanks to my local upholstery shop. You can see the issue with the original. By the time the strap looped through the buckle, the material was only doubled over itself. I have about 6" of extra rolled up on the end should the full overlap I have now prove insufficient in...
I've finally tried folding up some blankets and pillows inside of everything. The tent structure and cover have plenty of room but the cinch straps are too short. I'm going tomorrow to try to get my outer straps modified.
The Bravada somehow wrapped a bunch of wiring around the front driveshaft on that trip. That definitely slowed us down some.

They're not for bringing mothballed rigs back to life, but if the battery is too low to even honk the horn on your wife's Civic, one of these packs should let it fire right up. It's not the solution to every problem, but it's probably the solution to having listened to the radio too long on the...
I bough the Antigravity XP-1 at the beginning of the summer. I've charged it once, used it 4 times to jump other peoples' stuff, and it's still showing a full charge. The pack is fantastic. I just wish the terminal clamps were a little more robust.
Love the pics. I've collected a few myself but don't have them in anywhere I can share them right now.
Be careful checking these places out. Many of these places are full of asbestos, PCBs, and enough mold to make you sick with minimal exposure.
Like mjohns2, I'm not getting a map. I tried several of the selections, but it the map area stayed gray. I even loaded a track for Flag Pole Knob here in VA and the maps never loaded below the trail. Same results in the latest versions of Firefox and Chrome on Windows 7 64-bit.
Your best option is simply using a properly-rated sleeping bag in your RTT. I have a Big Agnes Whiskey Park 0 and can sleep perfectly in my RTT at about 25° in a t-shirt, boxers, and socks. I don't doubt that a reasonable amount of clothing would let it get down to the full rating pleasantly...
I had an 85 S-10 in high school and early adulthood. Wish I could find it now. With 20 years of build experience and a significantly better budget, I think I could make it everything I always wanted it to be. Can't wait to see how your build turns out!
This was from 2002. My red S-10 is 2nd...
Why go to all the trouble of adding another machine when you can just add a backpack and some accessories to walk out at your leisure? Weighing in the risk of severe mechanical injury from a 2-wheeler, walking out is probably the safest bet.
Thought you guys might find these interesting.

I used Hi-Lift's own mounts, the TM-700. They run about $50 on eBay, but there's better pics at https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003CEODQI
I definitely could have made my own mounts, but I was buying all this stuff while recuperating from arm surgery, so my physical activity was severely limited -...
Price. All the other features don't matter if the price is too high. $300 will get you some great recovery ramps, but you can also get into low-end winch at that price point...and that's the problem.
They aren't quite as roomy or as accessible as the 4-Runner. There's fewer of them around, so availability and platform similarity may have been why they were off the list.
No hard feelings though. 40% of the list was Toyota. Despite being an owner and fan of FJs, I can't feel slighted...
It was an option, but mine wasn't fitted with it. I was going out of town and wanted some tunes for the trip, so I ordered a $40 receiver off Amazon and dropped the extra $4 for 1-day shipping. I'm sure the OEM components could be used, but I'm fine with my setup.
I'd had enough of work this week, so I took today off and made a solo run to Oregon Inlet in Nags Head, NC. The water was a bit rough today, but I still had a great time.
