Non-electric (pump) solution for Camp Shower/Rinse?

Only bad thing I see about the Road Shower is that food-grade clear hose. UV eats them up in no time.

Coleman Addiction.....for pesants. ha ha ha!

You guys ever seen the "stove" attachment for the lanterns? There were several makes. The one I have is called My Cookin' Buddy.

    Rtt brands pros/cons

After eyeing a Tepui Kukenam for about a year, I found the Smittybilt. I went with it just to start out with. For one, it was so inexpensive, I could afford it sooner than I expected. Compared to the cost of the Tepui, I got the Smitty tent and awning and still had about $250 left over. I...

Stranded and solutions? What would have helped?

I always bring my hiking backpack when offroad. Compass, tent, water filter, fire starters, Mountain House, butane stove, etc. Everything I'd need to stay a few days or walk out to get help. When we're in the vehicle, the phones generally stay plugged in. Adding additional USB ports is...

Coleman Addiction.....for pesants. ha ha ha!

The only time I've used it was sitting outside watching the stars. A fire would ruin your night vision but you can run the catalytic heater by your feet and hold your hands over it, staying toasty.

    How To: Hi-Lift Jack Rebuild

What always messes me up is which side is up on the climbing pins.

Do you open your tent to the left or the right?

Mine opens to the back for two reasons: 1 - I have a rear door, not a rear hatch. The RTT doubles as a rear awning when deployed. I used clevis pins to make removal of the ladder simple. 2 - I'm still running the factory roof rack, which isn't the strongest option out there. When entering...

    First Impressions Smitty Built Awning

I've not been able to put mine to use nearly as often as I'd intended, but the quality seems excellent. I think the complaints about Smittybilt are largely overstated so people who've paid more for the same thing with a different brand's name on the cover can feel good about themselves.

    Potty Tent

I just use whatever 7-gallon trash bags the grocery store has. I also always line the Trasharoo with heavy duty trash bags.

Most popular stove's used in Overlanding

The stove tech overlaps with the lantern tech as well. I'm a bit of a collector when it comes to the lanterns, and I love to use them, but it's hard to argue that LEDs aren't winning out at this point. I don't know if it has been mentioned yet or not, but there's an adapter to let the...

Overland XJ Build. Not my first Rodeo.....(video included)

Something to consider: with the tent opening on the passenger side, when it is deployed and the back hatch is open, you'll have to walk around your swing-out tire carrier to access the rear. Might matter to you, might not.

Bonding aluminum sheets on steel frame for expedition truck body

I don't know - just asking, because I'm a nerd, and maybe you can fill me in - but is there any concern for galvanic corrosion in this application?

    carrying coleman fuel

Dual Fuel lanterns and stoves will run on gasoline, but the generators foul far more quickly and I would like to minimize the number of toxins burning off around the food I'm cooking. The generators for each aren't particularly cheap though, and replacing a generator fouled by gasoline quickly...

    carrying coleman fuel

When we go into the woods, I carry two gallon cans in a milk crate in the back of my FJ. I carry a 2-burner suitcase stove, a couple lanterns, and a single-burner backup stove. I have a Coleman metal funnel I throw in the crate with the cans.
