    gas bottle holder things...

Yeah... I gotta agree with ya HD. Though I can't imagine needing to carry actual gas cylinders... I need to look closer at them. So far they have just been taking up room in my XJ. One thoguht I had was maybe making a pair of giant tool rolls that could fit into them. I'll post up any other...

    gas bottle holder things...

So I found some of these things in the recycle center here yesterday and not really sure what to use them for. At first I about crapped myself thinking they were a military version of a Roto-Pac. Once I got home I googled them and found out they are for transporting hospital gas (Oxygen I...

    XJ T-Case

XJ t-case shifters are fairly notorious (great, now I'm gonna have that 80s song stuck in my head!) for being finicky, more so with the earlier years though I believe. You may want to start by simply checking the linkage and making sure it works. Also, when you go to engage it...try and allow...

    Front shackel reversal...Yes or No?

For you uses you mentioned I'd suggest reversing them. I've driven leaf sprung jeeps most of my life in both configurations and the ride is better with it to the rear. If your trying to keep it LCOG you may look into fabbing up the mounts using something like this...

    (4) NOS Scepter 14 liter water cans/mounts PHX - Will Ship

These really are kinda neat little things. I remember messing with their older, all metal brothers and always thinking they would make a cool portable shower. Don't need one so free bump and good luck. :)

    Now that's a big Jeep!

No worse than the 4cly Toyota's back in the day. I kinda like it. Though I'd have used a 91 or newer... And lifted it. hahaha!

    98 Jeep ZJ "SHTFV"

It is all cheap when you spend a little each month. Doing it cheap doesn't mean you have to use cheap parts, it just means it takes longer to do it :) Sorry to hear about the thefts :( Yeah... I hear ya. And I'm part junkyard/imagination scrounger and part "buy the best you can afford a wee bit...

What did you do to your Expo Jeep today?

Progress.... Worked on the scrambler some more this weekend. Now on the second try at making a cross member that will suffice. I have a bad habit of over building stuff and I suppose this is just another example of that. :o The first try at this was a bust so it all got ripped out and canned. I...

    98 Jeep ZJ "SHTFV"

:) I was trying to be on the cheap myself but things have snowballed. Just dropped almost a grand on lift stuff for the front of mine. Then discovered yesterday that someone had stolen my S10 leaves I was gonna build the rear with. And if that wasn't bad enough, someone also pulled the diff...

    XJ Rear suspension help.

If your happy with the height/ride as it is except for when you got it loaded then go Airbags. You won't notice they are there empty and will do their part when you fill them. Air shocks... YIKES! No sir. Not for me. I'm not putting all my extra sprung weight on the diameter of the shock stud or...

    2000 Cherokee: Project Northwest Explorer

Since I'm not to far from doing the "B-pack" springs myself...What did you guys do for the spring clip thingies? I have new center bolts but not sure what gets used or replaced when it comes to the little brackets that keep the springs in line?

The Jeep "things"... One and two.

The slow downward spiral... Today I took the progress of the "free/cheap" roof rack and threw it back in the dumpster. Try as I may the stuff I was working with just was not wide enough to work. The basket portion was about 8-10 inches to narrow which made for "feet" that were just not...

What did you do to your Expo Jeep today?

Spent today working on my CJ8... Stepped outside of the shop for a break and smelled...snow! ACK! I'm sure not ready for THAT yet! And of course it will since I will be in the field the next 20-30 days! lol!
