    Tc650 owners-Tundra/Silverado/f150?

    Nope, it's not. TC650 on my F150 was 8'9" - I haven't accurately checked it on my F250, where I know it'll be higher.

I can only speak details in Ford: front axle is different, 350 gets hydro-boost brakes v. vacuum (might be diesels-only), an extra spacer and leaf on the rear axle.

Negligible. If my current pre-owned F250 (too clean to pass up on the savings) hadn't shown up on the lot the day it did, I was going to order a new 1-ton. Honestly, I have yet to figure out why one would order a new 3/4-ton over a 1-ton. Price difference is minor, size is identical, in these...

    The Oregon Camper

Blast from the past! Cool design, wonder if almost 10 years of technology would make it better/easier to manufacture today?

New Northstar TC650 and 2013 Toyota Tundra

Ha, exactly! I gave the truck a nice wash, even took time to really polish the wheels a few nights ago... it's been raining ever since. The TC's look so good on white trucks!

Yup! I think I said it before, even the salesmen don't have a clue. Just find one on a lot "close enough" and look at the door sticker, then order one the same (even then, the numbers won't match exactly). The guides and websites are just confusing.

New Northstar TC650 and 2013 Toyota Tundra

It's always a tough call, and not a straight up answer. The listed base dry weight of a TC650 is 1350#, but I've never seen one (including my own), that didn't have an as-built badge of 1500# or more. Following that math, the listed dry-weight of a base Liberty is 1770#... count on it being at...

    2004 F-350 supercab. 6.0 diesel.

Trick question?! The 6.0 is a great engine, and from what good friends say, at 108, it's just barely broken in. I think it would be a perfect truck for an 850SC - let's see it!

Tc650 will cover even a full crew cab roof, much bigger than a FWC. I have to admit, though, I love being able to open up the sunroof on the truck when the camper isn't there. Just get it from the factory - please don't let some guy at a dealership cut open a brand new truck! Go big! And, what...

That's funny, the aluminum scares you, and I can't wait for the Super Duty to be aluminum! BTW, I'm a mechanical engineer and I think it's hilarious that people are worried about aluminum trucks. I like to point out that big trucks have had aluminum bodies for decades, and let's not even talk...

That truck definitely looks ************! Here's an article you should read, re: ram 6.4 Hemi: http://www.truckcampermagazine.com/news/2014-ram-3500-experience-update Yeah, it's a bigger truck, bigger camper, but a point of reference for you - and I would say, a pretty good choice overall. In case...

In practice, it'll do worse. Go back a few pages, I posted my real world experience with a TC650 in a 2011 Ecoboost F150. I guess it makes sense if you do a lot of driving without the camper, but once loaded, the efficiency took a huge hit (avg 10-11mpg). I have an F250 now that is worse empty...

Ripperj is right. I'm always in support of good research and a careful approach, but realistically, campers don't get much smaller than the TC650 (in terms of sizes, by weight, yes). CG and such would be important if you were looking at a 10' camper, but spending a lot of time on it is going to...
