The Route
Illinois River watershed, Big Piney watershed, Richland Creek watershed, and the Buffalo National River watershed
Another excellent trip here in the Central States, and was designed scout new areas so as to ensure that follow-on ExPo group trips are as exceptional as possible. Get...
Mine's STILL dirty, and I love it! Looks tough as hell.
Plus, Em and I are off for a four-day jaunt through KS/OK ranch roads this weekend.... no point in washing it yet!
(Plan in-process.)
I'm thinking about going back to the stock location on my Taco, too. Toyota engineers had it right: it just makes the most sense. (Unless, if course, you can afford a custom fuel cell in that location...)
Yeah, I'm really bummed that I didn't get up there last May, Kristian. I was scheduled for a training school in Ft. McCoy, WI and was going to take 9 days to explore the UP after that. If you remember, I bugged you and Tom for some info. Alas, my school dates were changed to Jan '11... grrrr...
Oh, no! Ryan, I hate that for you, bro. Honest mistake, I know. Just goes to show that no matter how much technology we have in our toolkit to help things be easy, human intervention can certainly make things challenging all over again! ;)
I am unfamiliar with Overland Nav. Is there a way...

Bump for a bargain!
I'd be willing to betcha that that thing will go in one day on eBay for a $225 Buy It Now price. If I didn't already have one, I'd pay $175 in a heartbeat... Almost worth buying, then reselling on eBay just to make a quick $50-$100 bucks.
Allow me to speak from the pulpit...

Freedom to call it a day when you damn well please.
Freedom to self-navigate oneself to the group wherever they are, and then the freedom to break out and self-navigate home when you desire...
Every time I think about limiting the number of vehicles, I think about how many wonderful people I won't get to know sitting around that fire.
Not a tough choice right now. So far, I'm batting .1000 at meeting good people in the overlanding community. We'll just call these kind of trips...
