    Best Offroad GPS unit

Great info, thanks. I'm looking into Android options because I know nothing about them. My interest in the hardware based options is that in my experience, they just work better and more reliably, but the cost on those units continues to rise while their advantages shrink. That said, I have...

    Arb rtt in cold weather??

That is a pretty fair price for one in good shape. If you get in really windy, but mostly dry conditions, taking off the fly makes the tent much quieter. IMO the biggest issue with those tents is the zipper on the cover. Spray it frequently with 303 Protectant Spray or McLube to keep it clean...

    Overland Navigator

I know you have been working on an iPad version, would it be any easier/faster to do an Android version instead? It seems that dedicated GPS hardware is getting prohibitively expensive for our needs, but there is no tablet/software setup that really works either.

    Arb rtt in cold weather??

They are OK as long as you have ample ventilation. When the humidity rises, they get very cold. Open the vents and maybe leave the windows a bit open too.

    Best Offroad GPS unit

Care to enlighten us? I'm having a hard time finding apps that are worth the effort and really work well offline. MotionX used to be pretty good. I could almost get excited about Avenza if it would move you from map to map. Gaia is next on my list. I started looking at hardware GPS units, but...

WTB RTT hard shell in Colorado

Yeah, I haven't had any time to think about it, and honestly still don't. I'm torn between the benefits of the Columbus and needing an empty roof rack since the Rover doesn't have much cargo space.

WTB RTT hard shell in Colorado

I have a small that I would sell for $800. It is in overall fair shape, but one of the zipper sliders needs to be replaced. I want to replace it with a medium.

Bummed you have to sell the Dormie, Nick. I'd be all over this if I hadn't picked up the Rangie.

    WTB Rooftent in Colorado

I have a small Columbus. It needs a zipper that I have, but have not put on yet, but is otherwise good to go. It's nice and light.

I don't know about good, but sailinganarchy.com can be a lot of fun. I suppose it's a little like Dweb for boats.

    Few ?'s about discovery II

Just walk away. I think a D2 is fine but tight for two, you might be able to squeeze in three if everyone packs light, but I can't see five being comfortable for more than day trips. A D2 is more than just a little smaller than a Suburban. I'm not sure how seriously you have looked at one, but...

    Let's See Your Isuzu!

I don't think a lift is about fitting bigger suspension, but as Steve hinted, getting springs/shocks that don't suck.

    Overland Journal: Discovery I, 5-speed

Yeah, they suck on ice but wear like iron. Fine on dirt roads. Kind of the ultimate all season tire. I would recommend getting a road hazard warranty on them. I've killed a couple.
