The mileage was entirely within Texas.
First tank fill no trailer (12:45 in video) was 233 miles and 9.224 gallons = 24.17 mpg. This appeared to be Buc-ees in Denton, TX.
Second tank fill with trailer (23:40 in video) was 152 miles and 12.283 gallons = 12.37 mpg. This appeared to be Cefco in...
So first real world report I have seen for MPG for the 2.4Turbo is
24.2 MPG highway
12.4 MPG Highway towing a single axle camping trailer.

So two guys posted a video of their new Taco. This is a 2024 with 2.4LTurbo, no hybrid. From Houston to Dallas, they got 24.2 mpg, then they picked up small camping trailer and headed towards CO. Didnt get far before they had to refuel, towing it got 12.4 mpg.
LOL, what I have been saying all thread. It was walked back.
US uses a test track, so no rating till a production vehicle.
How did Canada get a rating without a vehicle to test?
All I could get out of them was it was unauthorized and retracted. Oddly would not tell me fuel tank size either. They did emphasize the vehicle on display was a prototype and subject to change.
Most likely it will not meet the number as opposed to it will exceed it.
The 2.4T on the Tacoma is...
FWIW, I am not looking for an argument. I live near Toyota North American HQ and get invited to events there. I buy all my Toyota's at the dealership next door.
Just sharing what I hear officially from employees there at these events. Yes I know it conflicts with published stuff, hence why I am...
Will be interesting to see where the ICE turn on point is. I did not think to ask if it would different.
Tacoma’s with 2.4T and I-FORCE Max should be coming out soon. That will be a good indication
Info came directly from Toyota North American HQ at a recent event. They disowned the number. Great if it really gets that.
I don’t follow numbers in Canada. If you get a higher mpg, great for you
Actual numbers for Tundra and Sequoia are lower than EPA numbers from owners I know. This is...
To be precise, electric mode only shuts off and the ICE comes on at 18mph source is Toyota.com.
It is also personal experience as I have driven Tundra and a Sequoia TRD Pro and have experienced it.
I would hope a 4 cylinder 2.4Turbo gets better mileage than a 6 cylinder 3.4 twin turbo. Numbers I have seen for the 3.4 Twin on the Sequoia are all over the place 12-20 as reported by folks driving them. Friend with TRD PRO Tundra is getting 17-18.
I think 22-24 is a good guess. More is...
ROFL - “engine runs half as often” I guess if you spend 50% of your time below 18 mph that would be true.
I-Force Max is New hybrid and works completely different than Prius.
27 mpg already debunked and mileage is same without the Hybrid
Folks really do not understand this vehicle.
Correct, I meant to say it can be electric only up to 18 mph. After that the ICE is on. Hence why it does not contribute to any significant MPG or range.
