I use EZ liner from Canadian tire, its similar to your Rustoleum or whatever brand. Although I havent done any long trips in it yet but I think what I'll be doing is just throwing some carpet over top of that during those trips.

If you can afford it, I'd go with the two vehicles idea aswell.
