Phase one is done on the kitchen.
The next phase will be adding a sink and moving the propane to the outside. The under trailer water tank will have to wait a bit as they are a bit pricey.
All packed up and ready to go..... for now... :)
The weight is all down low... I've had this thing whipping around corners on the street and over big rocks on the trail. I would have to do something totally drastic and stupid in order to flip this. It has a slightly wider foot print than my FJ.
@ 03rubicon.... I really like the FJ... I had a Jeep XJ that I built up and it was getting way high on the mileage side and when the FJ's came out I figured I would give it a try. I have Nothing against any other vehicles... I've had them all (about 40 or so) It has the V6 and they have plenty...
I made/installed a little night table/shelf for the corner of the trailer. At night I usually put my glasses and watch in the corner and inevitably they end up down in the dark abyss. Now they will stay within reach.
Sorry but the rust comment (lockjaw) is inaccurate. Rust is not poisonous,it is red oxides from inside the pipes/cans. There are a bazillion homes with gavanized pipes that are rusted inside and there are no medical facts/issues from drinking it. Tetnus which causes lockjaw is found in the soil...
Taco del.... the shocks work very good in that position. before I had them on the trailer would bounce around pretty good. The spring shackles are at the back of the springs so when they are compressed the spring assembly goes backwards a bit thus compressing the shock. They are rancho 9000 on...
The side door is now installed.... what a difference it makes getting in/out. Also installed a porch light.
Now that the door is in I started putting the interior panels back in. I fully carpeted them to help with sound and insulation
I'm building a 5x8 as well My side door just came in today so I will be moving forward with the build. The build is in here. (cowboy4x4 off road CT build)
Happy day..... My new side door came UPS, I've had everything on hold for the trailer until I was able to get this. Now once I install the door I can finish the kitchen and start moving forward with the build. Will post up install pics this weekend.
