Look up making drawers from skate board bearings. a whole lot cheaper than than drawer slides.

Remember one thing when thinking about the cost, your gonna want to change the axle and wheels. What there now is way to heavily sprung for a camper.
edit double check on the maine thing they have clamped down on that in a few states. In maryland its now a fine if you dont have in state tags...
I would bet you can get a better final project by making your own frame and building something like the thread below. If you dont want a RTT you can just put a big gear basket on the top, with or with out a lid. That way you can build the box to what you want or need.
If you can weld his frame...
Okay, since its a little wet, cold, snowy etc outside. I started on things that can be done inside. I made the awning, its not complete yet, still needs a few stitches cleaned up, a little more reinforcing, but far enough to put it up to see how it looks. It attaches to a sail track on the pop...
As ruff said. frp can be many things. Plastic, polyester, epoxy lots of binders are covered under it. When its plastics its normally extruded and pressed, so there is no real gelcoat type surface.
Thats the same stuff sawtooth ultimate and I used. I have some extra, about 75' x 8.5 feet if any one want to buy it cheap.
Gelcoat is polyester resin with some color and a filler to make it thicker. It also normally has an additive that wont let it cure 100% when exposed to air. That way they...
Yup in my build the front half of the bed also helps hold the side walls and front of the trailer. The kitchen slide out support, helps hold the bed.
BTW Peter its all your fault, I love the OKA truck you used for the base of your build. I spent an hour checking them out yesterday, but there...
Yes polyurethane foam can be stronger, but as with every foam the stronger it is the heavier it is. EPS is cheap, its easy to find in 25 psi ( not home depot ), and its easy to work with. Believe it or not epoxy does glue to it very well, but the foam structure it self is weaker for peel...
all the homework you need if you watch his videos as well

No most people have the tongue lower so it can tie in to more cross members and maybe the side rails. If its at the same level you are very dependent on good welds, its underneath and hitting more things each weld carries less stress.
3/16 is pretty heavy stuff, luckily its only a c channel. I would have gone with a .120 2x3 for the main rails and .084 2x3 for cross rails. I think the 1.5 065 would be fine, I would just add some corner braces to stiffen it for movement when you are in it. The 1.5 would hold many thousands of...
Next time you need to do the tape, just peel enough to put the end around the edge of the metal to the inside. Then start the panel on that inch or so, have some one press as you peel the rest of the liner from the inside.
about 7:30 in the below video
If I was building an extreme offroad trailer this is how I would do it. Mash it roll it etc. Just rip the skin off and slap another on with some new tape.
