Lexus GX550 Overtrail vs. Grenadier or new Toyota Land Cruiser?

MAJOR outliers - but the EcoBoosts have major outliers too, I honestly think some people just drive Turbo engines in boost often, but 10 MPG is laughable, my 3/4 T Ram w/6.4 Hemi gets better than that loaded for a weekend of camping/moto in the mountains.

Lexus GX550 Overtrail vs. Grenadier or new Toyota Land Cruiser?

Hard to believe - it's a 3.X L twin turbo, and based on everything I've read it's gets sim mileage to other 3.X L Turbo engines like the EcoBoost, which is mid teens. The Tundra gets mid/high teens, I'd expect the Sequoia and GX would be in same ballpark: *Edit - looks like the Sequoia has...

What rig is best for Pan-American highway?

I screwed up, I was thinking Tacoma, but the 4runner still comes with the 4.0L but the Tacoma comes with a 3.5L V6....that is what I was referencing. It may share - I've never been convinced it's nearly as easy as people make it out to be, there are some minor differences in lots of things. I...

What rig is best for Pan-American highway?

If you have access to a Troopy - that is the logical choice to me - where are you located? Looking at Toms cruiser - it's big, not really sure how much you are giving up with something like that vs a domestic (assuming you are in the US) with a smaller camper or even a pop-top camper...

What rig is best for Pan-American highway?

Does a modern 4runner have good parts access? I don't know how much it's a global vehicle these days, is the 3.5L engine used in S America?

Grenadier OWNERS Thread - Answers by Owners to questions from Everyone Else!

It was a dealer in Oregon, near Portland I believe, I was at an offsite event not sure exactly where they are located. I hear from a lot of people its "overbuilt" but honestly, until I see specs I'm going to be side eyeing those claims....not right or wrong, just want to see and understand for...

Grenadier OWNERS Thread - Answers by Owners to questions from Everyone Else!

I got to crawl around one a bit this past weekend, I was asking quite a few technical questions to the sales person and it left quite a bit to be desired, great guy but not very informed. It looks like they have full float axles, a type of hybrid design, but not entirely sure, anybody know for...

    Mexican 1000

Just thought it was funny about all the comments, not that it matters, but I guess folks that know know, when I first read Baja 1000 I was like there is no frickin' way, that is not a knock to IG but simply me be familiar enough with the course to know how difficult it would be with any stock...

Good Luck Trying to Trade In Your ‘22-23 Tundra ☹️

I remember when the KTM 500 EXCF's first came out - high performance race bike, won't hold up, delicate, unreliable and here we are 10+ years later and guys are riding them around the world. It's like people NEED to fill their lives with torment and anxiety - my person belief is in this...

Good Luck Trying to Trade In Your ‘22-23 Tundra ☹️

It's also a sliver of folks that have problems vs the hundreds of them out there without problems....info via forums is always a very vocal group of folks with issues I've found. There been a few times I've chatted to seasoned folks in the "real world" and mentioned issues or concerns I've read...

Figured you had access to rigs and could of looked at what the actual Payload was which is always hard to do online because it's always absolute max, I think the 2500's max are 4000 lbs + and the 3500's are 6000 lbs +

    Show your Thumper!!

Picked up a clean 2000 XR400, full refresh (bearings, suspension, carb and all OEM stuff), trail work bike. I've owned XR's in the past - this thing starts up first kick hot or cold, go figure, I've never had an XR start this easy....maybe it was the carb rebuild.

    Mexican 1000

Any input? What all needed to be repaired afterwards? This link over on the Ineos Forum calls it the "Baja 1000", I think some of the guys are confused with the real Baja 1000 and the NORRA Mexican 1000: https://www.theineosforum.com/threads/only-stock-vehicle-to-complete-the-baja-1000.12415857/

Why don't we see more Ford Ranger builds

Something else - I *think* a lot of the Bronco stuff bolts on to the Ranger, which means options for the HD D44 front axles, HD front axle shafts and D60 rear axles and all the other stuff that goes along with it. I really liked my 2019....
