2021 Fuso FG 4x4 Overlander... "West Elk Wilderness Edition"

Cool rig! How does the passthrough seal work? When you rotate/lift the cab for service work, what's involved to 'disconnect' it?

Recommendation for a <$200 camp BBQ?

You ever tried using yours for smoking trout? I love smoked trout and use a basic 'big chief' electric at home but Id like a portable propane unit to bring with us camping.

    building the Bullet XV

Whew, time!! I remember following along closely to your build and then I was lucky enough to see it roaming around town a handful of times. Do you know did Sterling every do a 4500/5500 with the 5.9? I don't think that existed.... -Chris

    Flat bed options

You probably already know that sherptek is located in eugene. Not too far from portland. Ive seen two of their beds, pretty fancy and nice construction. However if I bought a flatbed or more likely when I copy one to build it will be the norweld. Saw so many of those down in Australia and they...

    Stack of Overland Journals

Howdy all, Doing abit or Spring cleaning in November, yeah its been like that! Ive got a stack of Overland Journals I’d like to find a new home for. These are used, been shipped to me with my subscription, laid down on workbenches, read by campfire and bounced around the cab of my pickup. But...

Pop up camper build Oct 2019

Very Cool!! I'll be following along closely. I've been wanting to do something similar but in a flatbed version. I have a older Miller 211 that will work with a spool gun, but I don't have one yet and have zero experience with using a spool gun. I've tig welded aluminum, but that was 20+ years...

2002 Dodge 2500 Interior build out

Very cool shell. I looked for a decent shape and priced canopy for my 06 2500 for nearly a year with no luck, so I’m building one(steel/aluminum). Look forward to seeing how you finish it out. -Chris

Sewing Thread....A discussion on making your own adventure textile gear.

I inherited a Bernina 217. It’s a big and heavy machine with a large external motor to drive it. Im just beginning to get it running and putting down some stitches. Reminds me of learning to weld, a whole new world out there. My current question is: when I got it there was no belt to connect...

From truck camper to homebuilt truck canopy

I'd guesstimate it's about 125'ish pounds as it sits right now, I could actually calculate it, pretty closely, if I took the time. When I stood on top of it, I wasn't concerned my 200lbs was going anywhere. I think my bed sides will collapse before the rack/canopy. I hope to find a old canopy...

From truck camper to homebuilt truck canopy

I got the frame all welded up and mounted it back on the truck. I didn’t have the time or money to skin it with aluminum yet, probably around thanksgiving. So, I strapped down a canvas tarp and went banging around some of my favorite fishing spots. -Chris

From truck camper to homebuilt truck canopy

Howdy all, Onto the next project. We’ve been hauling two different truck campers in our 06 ram 2500 4x4 diesel reg cab for over ten years. Spending over 100 nights a year in them. My wife never enjoyed driving it, so about 18 months ago we bought a sprinter 4x4. Gave up alot of access to...

Power Wagon Disengaging Anti-Sway Bar into Cummins Ram

I probably would of ditched the swaybar entirely but I use my truck for work and routinely haul a few thousand pounds in the bed and pull 10k trailers, so I like the stability a swaybar provides when I need it. -Chris
